Fahad's Amazing blog#2

Hi, it's me again and I hope ur doing well. In the 3rd week of aep, we managed to do quite a lot of stuff such as our usual routine of playing diffle every morning. To be honest, diffle has been quite challenging for me because the answer can be more than 5 words, which can get really confusing when you have letters all over the place, nonetheless, it's still a fun activity for your brain since it pushes the limits of your brain and tells it to think outside the box. to mention, we only have 2 periods of aep In 1 week so our time is usually limited and the numbers of activities which can be done is not a lot. After we had done the word game diffle, miss made us put words in  a spin of the wheel, the words came from the assignment she gave us in which we had to put the missing word in a blank, miss had assigned 5 sentences per group, I had gotten paired with my friend hakim, if the word you did was selected on the spin of the wheel, you had to define what it meant. After ...

Fahad's amazing blog#1

Thank you in advance for reading this. Let's talk about Aep. So far we've only had 1 class in which we did a lot of stuff. Firstly, we now have more students than ever, making our classroom more crowded and fun. On the first day of aep classes, we didn't have a chance to introduce ourselves because last week of that Wednesday, our classes got cancelled thanks to the typhoon, However, that wasn't a big deal since we have only 1 new student in our class. Going back to the first day of school, we played a game called diffle and then after we finished, we did something new I haven't done in aep before....we drew ourselves, isn't that interesting?, it is but I'm not good drawer so my drawings end up looking like a blind kid drew it, however, mine didn't turn out that bad, I mean, at least for me. Compared to my other classmates, mine was pretty bad but at least it didn't look like a drawing made by a blind kid. After we had finished drawing ourselves, mi...

AEP Blog #1.3 “Slowing down and speeding up”

Hello there dear reader! Welcome back to another (well.. more like hopefully the first and last late blog) this was supposed to be uploaded a while back, but thankfully with the mercy of Ms Disa - I was able to have Saturday as my due-date. I am so thankful for that, my apologies Ms!  This week has been..rather tiring. I kid you not each subject teacher probably collectively decided to throw quizzes at us for this week and the next. Am I complaining? Yes. Is it understandable? Yes. This is because our exams are coming pretty soon, so I digress. (Hypothetically)  Upon writing this blog, because of my goldfish memory span — I checked padlet and looked through what we had done. My classmates usually write more in padlet than I do, so I honestly would want to thank them everyday for expressing their thoughts in an in-depth manner which frankly I should do too during padlet times. When I looked through padlet, it mentioned on how we went through our assessments given the prev...
Blog #3 - sorry miss im late KUK  Hello its Kuk welcome to my blog today I had so much fun so we were divided into two grous group 1:Sid Hyeonseo, Zahrah, me (Kuk), Mysha and Summer. Group 2: Hyeono, adelia, Aleena, Ryan,  and Aire But I think it was a very lucky day for me because I didnt really memorize the whole words for the vocab quiz I was so happy I didn't have the quiz today and the fact that we played scrabble and the other game When I was playing scarbble it was sorta difficult because I wasnt smart enough to find out words during that time (thats why im in aep right now) and I did made a clutch but we just didnt win atleast it was good for me that I was in second place and when I played the griddle it was making me confused because some of the words didn't really work like elo its something like points in chess which should be a valid word because its a word but didn't. It was making me so scared when mysha said we need over 400 words because I thought it wou...

Blog 1.1 | Alisa Tee | Grade 11

A Fresh Beginning 8th August 2023 A brand new start for a brand new grade 11 student! My second year in AEP after a very long (and well-deserved) summer break. I'm already looking forward to the Wordle brain teasers in the morning! Albeit we only have one session a week which is really unfortunate. After Miss had briefed us on the general basis of what our lessons will hold, I learned that this year is going to be a lot more rigorous and comprehensive in work. I assumed this was because our time in AEP per week was cut short. Despite that, I still can't wait to resume the more in-depth English lessons -- especially since we'll learn more about advanced vocabulary in the following semesters! Additionally, since my other classmates don't have ESL anymore, our numbers in AEP have practically doubled this year! It's a lot more crowded (and noisy), and most of the seats are taken now. But even with all the new people in the class, I'm still looking forward to the l...

Blog 1.2 | Alisa Tee | Grade 11

An Unoriginal Title: Second Blog 15th August 2023 Second blog of term 1! It's a little odd to be writing a blog with such a short interval from the first one, haha. But I'll enjoy writing the weekly AEP reflections nonetheless. Since there isn't really much for me to say (and I've kind of forgotten what happened last lesson), expect this blog to be very   short. Anyway, I'll just start with a vague recap of what we did in our last lesson! We began with (of course) the usual morning icebreaker. This time it was Diffle -- which is basically Wordle except the word isn't limited to just five letters. After that, I believe we worked in our groups to finish up our vocabulary activity. Miss brought out a (the) wheel (of doom) with our vocabulary words on it and whichever word it landed on we had to define and put in context. I didn't get to speak much since I was in a group of three and I didn't really volunteer to speak (sorry guys! -~-''). It was a ...

Ah boy here we go again

Yet another week of aep. just the usual stuff: a game of diffle, people being really bad at the vocab tests, and some seat work continuation. Image by this text is an acurate representation of me attepmting to think of a proper closer.

hakim blog 4

Today I came in a bit late because of reasons I cannot discuss here.we started off with the usual warm up game but it wasn't diffle,it was my beloved contexto!!! I have missed playing contexto so much. I'm so glad Miss opened it. As usual the words connected to the actual word had barely any connection to the word but that's why i love it. After that,we reviewed the words we did in our seatwork before and spent some time defining them again :((( \

Blog 1.3 - 2nd Ring (Or is "2nd Circle" better??)

THIRD BLOG RAAAHHHHHHHHHH okay let's get this over with. What did we do this week? Or, "day" I suppose, 'cause we only have one day for AEP nowadays.  Today was pretty simple all things considered. We mostly just did a bunch of seatwork to pass the time.  Of course, we first started with Diffle and it was finished quite fast (Miss complained but we're just too smart hehehehehe). Soon after, Miss had us write down three of our favorite words from last week's vocab activity. Both from the collocations and the ones we discussed in Miro. We then had a mini quiz where each of us picked one of our three words and said them to the class before writing them down on our notebooks and giving an example sentence. It basically went like: Adi: "Facilitate." Everyone else: *writes down the word and sentence* Adi: "Wait, what's facilitate again?" I ended up looking through my notebook for the definition of that one :v And then after the break, we had...

Blog 1.2 - 1st Ring

Hi hii and welcome to another blog!! I woke up late this morning (oopsie) so I had to do my makeup in a Starbucks bathroom, but besides that I had a pretty smooth-sailing morning. So what did we do on the second week? Firstly, we did another game for warmup of coursee! We played the same game as last time, "Diffle". It was fun and compared to last time, we got the word relatively quickly. Soon after, Miss Disa had us fix up our little Miro board of all the vocabulary we learned last week. I was mostly done with it but I stayed to edit a few of the sentences and whatnot so that it'll be neater and easier to read. Right after we were done finishing up the board, Miss Disa has us do a little vocab quiz! In summary, she put all the words we learned in Miro into the wheel of death, and what ever word pops up, the group that handled that word will have to explain the definition and how that word is used in context. It was pretty easy for me since I memorized the definitions fo...

Blog 1.1 - Adi's inferno (jkjk)

HI HI HIIII AND WELCOME TO A NEW ACADEMIC YEARRR!!! Oh god. Here we go again. There are many things to love about finally going back to school. I was getting bored and lonely at home  with my 10 cats and zero hobbies. (It's really odd to say that studying is my hobby because it makes me look like a worthless nerd with no friends and no life but the reality is I genuinely don't do anything but study.) Not that I didn't enjoy the summer break though. I mean, I enjoy sleeping till noon, staying up late, and binging several Netflix shows but it really does get boring after a while. (Remind me to get proper hobbies for the next break.) I believe that I should be given time to rest my brain but when my brain power is not used once in a while, it starts melting and the brain goop will start leaking out of my ears. I'll be nothing but a zombie with a beating heart. Or maybe a vegetable.  Vacation was fun though. I went travelling with my dad but I did still spend most of it a...

Blog 1.3 | Alisa Tee | Grade 11

AEP Blog, The Threequel 22nd August 2023 Third blog incoming! These blogs have really racked my brain on the creative side when it comes to intros, haha. But anyway, on with the usual description of last week's lesson:  It's a little hazy to me, but one thing I do remember is having our quiz. Miss went around the class and gave each of us a turn to pick one of the three words we chose from the vocabulary list we were learning. We had to define and put that word into context, and despite how simple that task was, I barely knew or used any of the words before they were introduced so it was pretty difficult for me. This was probably not the threequel you were hoping for (apologies if you were) because it, unfortunately, ends here. There isn't really anything else I remember about the last lesson so I'm not able to write as much. Thanks for reading though! :D PS: Enjoy the usual cowboy kitty! :>

Blog 1.3 - “little weeny quizzy” - Huda G11

3rd blog of the month!!! These blogs are going out much faster than it did last year, it’s quite unfamiliar and also sometimes very easy to forget ehehe But anyways, in our last lesson we continued with our game of diffle, the guess we’re sticking to one game these days as we would have usually changed games every lesson but I don’t mind. Diffle is quite fun and we managed to do it in a few guesses :D We then moved on to reviewing on some words from last lesson that we defined before doing our very first quiz of the year. I thought that I would be fine and was slightly confident with the quiz…I was wrong T-T  Maybe I might earn 1 point with the word that I give out? Honestly I’m not quite sure as the moment I said the word, I somehow forgot the definition myself…🤦‍♀️ Getting back our books today so hopefully I get to see at least 5 right answers from the quiz eheheh   Ended off the class with a seat work so our lesson was very chill, for most of it. I’m starting to real...

Blog 1.2 - Presentations + vocab is the death of me (Hanis Grade 12)

Presentations A hectic week it has been. Just finished my dance lessons for an event. Now it's time for me to officially reset my routine. Don't even get me started with my sleeping schedule. It is utter disaster. Sleeping at 3 in the morning then waking up at 5. I'm still surprise that I haven't dose off in class yet. Even I can see that I look like a panda with those dark circles under the eyes. Not only that, if you see me stressing out, it's probably due to my anxiety levels increasing. Now don't get me wrong. I'm someone who enjoys making presentations but absolutely HATE presenting them. I don't know how I came to hate it because I don't particularly hate the idea of presenting but I get the shivers when I'm about to speak in front of anyone- and I mean anyone. Just did my presentation the other day and I can tell you that I absolutely flunked it. I practiced like A LOT when I was alone but the moment I stood in front of the class and all...

Hyeonseo's blog#3

There were no school at Monday so we didn't had aep in Monday so in Tuesday we started with warm up and we did aep vocab quiz but I couldn't review cause miss send it at last night and I was sleeping that time so I couldn't answer anything in vocab quiz  then after vocab quiz we continued the activity last week and that's all for blog#3.

WHAT A TIDEOUS WEEK!- Naboni AEP 10

Hello, it's me again - your fellow blogger! Last week was so hectic. I wasn't expecting so much workload in Grade 10. Four quizzes and a stack of homework and lessons had overwhelmed me. But, the week finally ended with a memorable ice skating hangout with my classmates at MEGAMALL that cheered me up. Now it is time for me to give you updates regarding the AEP class with another vlog! The weather on Monday was gloomy with heavy rain, causing me to be almost 20 minutes late for school due to traffic. The first class was Computer Science and for the rest of the class, I tried to recall all the words for the vocab quiz in my head. I was totally crept out as I almost couldn't remember the meaning of any of the terms properly. But then when we entered the AEP classroom, Miss Disa announced soon after that we were having SCRABBLE DAY! You could see the relief in the room after this announcement. We were divided into 4 teams: Chloe & Julia, Sayum & Shashmeen, Leo & Haz...

AEP blog 3 T1

3rd blog already!!!????  I still don't have much to say as it was only 3 periods but let's get right into it! Woohoo! On monday we were supposed to do our 2nd vocab quiz but it was raining quite a bit. So it became a scrabble day! We played in 4 teams of two and it doesn't matter who won but the friends we made along the way. And because of this we will not cover anything else related to the scrabble.  The next day we had our vocab quiz where we did 2 words each. If I remember correctly, my words were belligerent and jepoardy. I was lucky enough to get easy words that time. We'll see how it goes for the 3rd vocab quiz.  Once we finished the vocabulary quiz we learnt and practiced how to write an overview. Or in other words your first paragraph in an IELTS task 1 essay. We later tried rewriting the first essay we did to see if there was any noticable improvement in our skills. I would say I did somewhat ok.  And that's about all the important stuff that happened...

AEP blog 2 T1 (definitly on time edition)

Don't have much to cover for this one so I guess it'll be a bit short. I have to get my 3rd blog done too. I was absent on the single period that week when we had our first vocabulary quiz. I still did it the next day though. August 8th we started off with a new game. "Evil wordle" which is not much different from normal wordle. I'm not entirely sure how it works but it's pretty easy and we were able to complete it.  After the warm up we dove straight into some good old essay writing practice. Specifically how to paraphrase a prompt well. We learnt when to and how to effectively flip it on its head, how to turn verbs into nouns, and just practiced with different examples to try and understand how to make it flow nicely. After that since we still had time left but not enough to start another example. We did some oral and read a article about hammerhead sharks. Oral is always welcome. And in the last few minutes the wheel of words was spun to decide what my wor...

Blog 1.3 AEP10 || Landslide Victory || Shasmeen M.

This week, we return to AEP with the third blog: among our vocab quiz, last attempts at the bar graph essay, and increasing prowess at the word games (woo), one of the AEP highlights of the year previously made a surprise return! I’d been spending the past weekend poring through the Unit Two vocabulary words during my free moments, but not truly absorbing them. The first time I took a shot at the quiz, my result was borderline offensive. The second was too. And then the third. After the barrage of humility thrown at me, I relented and diligently took note of the definitions as I went through it the fourth time. By the fifth trial, I had it all down! When we got to the classroom on Monday, the morning was chilly. It seemed like the clouds couldn’t decide between drizzle or the textbook definition of rain. Can’t blame them — it was Monday after all. We took to our seats, aflutter with worry for the impending quiz. But, then, Miss Disa proclaimed that today was to be dedicated to Scra...

Blog #3 T1 - 21/8/23 - Grade 8

Hello Blog 3, and welcome back readers! Whoops. I always end up doing my blog last minute.  On Monday we had our first game day of the year! Since we were a larger class, Miss separated us into two halves, and on the first subject, the first group would play griddle while we played Scrabble. I was teamed up with Kuk in Scrabble, and we were in the lead for most of the game until Summer's team placed a winning word at the end of the round that put them first.  Next up, Griddle! The aim of the game was to beat the other team's score, which we weren't allowed to know. They kept telling us that they got 500, less than 300, roughly 600 to mislead us. We ended up getting up to 300-something. I don't remember. Luckily, that was enough to beat their 251.  The next day, on Tuesday, we had silent seatwork-ing. The long five pages were quite overwhelming, and we couldn't finish it in time.  This week's AEP sessions were my favourite so far, I had been craving a game day ...

A Pet Rock — Leo's Third Blog

Third blog of the month, and I'm starting to experience the most sluggish days ever. It's like when you have a pet rock and you're taking it out for a walk. One, you don't actually know why you have a pet rock, and two, you don't know why you're walking a pet rock. You just go with the flow, which is exactly how this week went by. Tugging the frayed strings of the rudimentary leash that I've created, we began the week with the first period of AEP. Thankfully, it was an amazingly soaked day, drenched in the showers of the heavens above. If only clouds were actually tangible, maybe I could strangle one for getting me sopping wet during the bike ride to school. Despite this, though, I'm grateful for the droplets of (probably polluted) rainwater that hailed over the school, because we did a friendly game of Scrabble! Before the period, we good-naturedly chaffed with Haziq. As the newest addition to the class, and a former member of ESL, he was still perusin...

Ayse - Blog 1.2

" Learning" Good day readers! How are you doing? I personally feel great! I am in Coffee Bean vibing to beabadoobee's albums in shuffle on Spotify and typing down this blog! Here is Meral's perspective: PS: wearing the cap and headphones allows me to focus more on my work and blocks distractions. I promise I'm not trying to be a mysterious person whatsoever. The First Week Enough on that. This blog will contain 4 meetings of AEP classes since we do vocabs one week and blogs the next week, basically in alternate. So... let me talk a little about last week. What exactly did we do last week? We started classes with Contexto, and we did pretty well to tell you the truth, one would think we created the game🤪 (jk). After the quick game, we summed up our rubrics from last week in about 10 minutes. Miss Disa then printed one for each of us and so did the presentations began. Shall I give a quick 'my favourite parts' of everyone's presentation for that week? ...

"Absence" - AEP Blog#3 - Janek - AEP10

Even today, I'm not sure why I'm writing this blog. Well, it goes without saying that I would write this because it is required, but I'm just perplexed by the thoughts I have regarding this particular blog. The reason, well, it would be evident from the title of my blog. I haven't been around for the past week and have done nothing but rot in bed while suffering from recurrent headaches and stomachaches. They come and go, and you're uncertain of whether you're getting better or not. And it's true, up until Thursday, I wasn't getting any better. Even though I wasn't in class, I forced myself to be productive and asked for a leave of absence for the things I needed to accomplish to catch up.  In order to make my blog more fascinating, I should first briefly describe how I became ill. Let's start this the old-fashioned way: Once upon a time, a 15-year-old boy left on an adventure to a foreign area known as Subic. There were many beaches in Subic, wh...

Sigh of relief- Meral- AEP 10- Blog 3

The start of this new week was much more laid-back than I expected, which, given how many hectic tasks we have going on, was a relief. First things first, that very Monday morning we were supposed to have a vocabulary test. Even though I knew all the definitions and sample sentences by heart, I felt a little more practice could enhance my answers, so when I heard the test had been postponed until the next day, I felt some of the pressure lift. What then did we do? We had a Scrabble game! Woohoo! I'm sure we were all happy to hear Miss Disa remind us that a rainy day called for a scrabble match. We quickly formed a circle around the table and paired off with those sitting next to us. I was teamed with Naboni, and when the round was through, the two of us had won! I think a single word that gave us almost 30 points had a major role in our victory. Not to mention, we got pretty good letters for most of the game.  We were able to escape the vocabulary quiz with the luck of the rain, bu...

The Irony - Chloe Lloveras- Blog 3 T1- AEP 10

Heading into AEP this week had turned into a nightmare for me. Not only did I study the wrong vocabulary list for this week's quiz, but I also found out the morning of! But how exactly did this happen, you may ask? Let us start from the beginning. As soon as the new list of vocabulary had been posted for next week, I immediately opened the link and scanned the words just to get an idea of what I would be dealing with. During the weekend, I studied each and every one of those words, practicing their definitions and using them in a sentence. Come Monday morning, I felt like I was ready. I had memorized each and every word by heart...only to find out that the link that was posted was the wrong one! I found this out soon after I saw my classmate studying a different list. Only then did I check the "Google Classroom" link again to see that it had been changed and comments underneath the post saying that I had been studying freshman unit 2 instead of sophomore unit 2! Natural...

AEP blog 3 sid

Well, this week was something. We had our planed aep vocab quiz canceled and we just did some games for monday and tues we just did a seatwork (i honnestlyt kinda liked it since interacting with others can be a hassle to wrangle) other than that nothing truely eventful actually happened but hey its still nice. (again, no closer on my end)

hakim blog 3

Today in aep class started as usual, warm up game, and the usual seatwork.Miss gave us these freedom tickets that gave us 1 minute of freedom and i like that idea very much although i don't see much use since you could just ask to go to the bathroom to have some peace and quiet.i currently have two because i completed my tasks so that's cool ig.The limit for the tickets is only 5 since she only printed like 60 if i remember correctly. here is a picture of denji and pochita's last moments together before being bonded together:))))))

Hyeonseo blog#3

Hyeonseo blog 3. It was my most fun week of AEP, I thought there were gonna be a 2nd vocab quiz but there were no vocab quiz for some reason and we had game day I forgot what I did in the game day but I think our team win. And for the second day we did some activities some question was the question before and some are not I didn't understand some question and I couldn't answer all the question. So the first day was fun and the second day was kinda normal. That's all

AEP-Blog #3

Back again with another blog! So remember when I said we will be doing our vocab quiz this week? Yea, that got cancelled and moved to another lesson, which I'm quite thankful for because I barely studied for it at all. So instead of a vocab quiz Ms Disa gave us a game day! Though I have to admit I wasn't really feeling it at the time, Ms put us in groups and made my group play griddle first while the other played scrabble. Perhaps I was less enthusiastic for this game day because I've never been a big fan of games like Griddle or Scrabble. But, nonetheless, I persevered along with my team to do our best, and, in my opinion, our score in the end wasn't really THAT bad. So I'm quite content with it.  After that we did scrabble, which again, has never been my strong suit. But, I tried. In the end, when the other had competed their griddle and they won. But I wasn't frustrated since I still think my team did the best we could in my opinion. For our next lesson, Ms ...

AEP BLOG 3 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

AEP BLOG 3 - Summer Rose S. Valdez      This was by far my favorite week of AEP!  It is mostly because our first lesson was extremely fun and calm.  We had a game day which consisted of scrabble and griddle.  I enjoyed attempting to come up with the best possible words and locations to put them in with my teammate, Zahrah.  She was especially helpful in scoring us a lot of points.     Griddle was quite a challenge.  It was difficult for us to utilize our limited letters in the best way possible.  We were quite worried that we would score less than the other team, but eventually won.  To be entirely honest, as much as I tried to help, I didn't do much.  My surprisingly amazing group mates did most of the work, and it was entertaining to watch them do so.     The second day felt refreshing.  After mostly doing group related work in AEP, I was relieved that we could finally do things individually.  W...

AEP Blog #1.2 “Fresh new ideas for the dusty mind”

Good day dear readers! Today I bring to you a blog that may not be as miserable as the first one; but rather an inspiring one to those who are in need of a special read in the middle of the week.  I am not so sure how long I’ll keep this blog, but I’ll try to keep it’s length coherent with my standard… so lets welcome our topic of the day!  “Fresh new ideas for the dusty mind” The first week after-school can be rather exciting and full of possibilities! You meet your friends and catch up with them, see how your teachers are to mentally plan your schedules, look for plans that could possibly make your school year a little more fun..but once those first 2 weeks of school ends, the sudden rush of disappointment and laziness hits. For some reason, the flowers that show up when you enter the school building have now turned to ugly little moss. The citrus fresh air you used to smell upon entering the classroom have now been replaced by an ugly-sweaty smell. ‘Ah yes, this is de...

AEP is fun class and learning so many things and play games its fun and play in warm up every day when we have aep and learning english like hard words and jt asl good to learn these words.

Irfan g11 : blog 2

Hello, Good morning and this time it's about the second class of AEP. I remember I think I was the first one to entered the class because everyone else out their bags in the class first but I just went straight to the AEP room. The room just stopped that time, Ms. Disa's instrument music was playing in the background as I entered the room and for a second, I had the thought that maybe, that kind of music isn't bad at all, it literally depends on the situation for me and it was literally the perfect time. I looked outside and I was just staring at the window, it was really peaceful for a few minutes Again, the class started with the Wordle game, I still can't remember the name of it....but anyway, I was really afraid of being chosen to do the Wordle thing. So I just say there quietly, I didn't make any eye contact with anyone and YES, someone else got chosen which is Huda. She did it really fast not gonna lie. We also had our first quiz for this term and it was pret...

WEEK 2 OF HAVING AEP CLASS!!! On the first two periods of AEP class this week was GAME DAY!:) It was very fun(mostly because i got to be in a group with mysha and summer🤭😅). Second day/last period of AEP, was very calm and soothing. All that was done overall was scrabble, diffle and answering questions on worksheets. Hope next week classes will be the same or maybe even better!😊👍🫶🏻

Blog 2 T1 - 15/8/23

Woah. Second blog already. That was fast.  This week we had our first vocab quiz. We did it in threes, cycling between answerers. I was grouped with Aleena and Kuk and I think we did pretty good. I managed to answer all questions given to me and stole the most. We did get one incorrect though, but that was fine. Me and my team tied for best score with Adelia's team. There was a tie breaker, and they won after Kuk lost to Hyeono. I'm pleased with our first vocab quiz, and I'm hoping to win next time.  On Tuesday we looked back on our previous seatwork's, I was unfortunately unable to get the ideal answers for some of the questions. Boohoo, but ah well.  So far, AEP has been a lot better than I had initially expectected, and I'm hyped up for the rest of the year.

Hakim blog 2

The second meeting was a joyous occasion for me because i have finally learned how to use blogger. YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!! After all this time I don't have to use google docs again for blogs. As usual, the day starts off with a warm up game, Diffle. We got the answer pretty quickly considering how early and loopy we were. We then discussed our answers from the previous meeting.Miss suggested we do a wheel of fortune and put our words on the wheel. If your word gets picked, you have to explain the definition of the word and give a sentence using the word in context. For this work, me and fahad were paired up. Our words were pretty easy so we didn't have a tough time. That's all i remember from the class as it was a week ago and i did this last minute :)))

Aleena Imran, Grade 8, Blog #3

✨ BLOG #3✨ This week was super interesting! In this week or specifically Monday I thought we were gonna have our vocabulary Quiz. But we didn’t, which made me somehow annoyed considering I studied all weekend, Thursday and Friday too for that, I guess that’s alright though. So on Monday we got grouped into two. One group was playing Scrabble and one was playing Griddle, both groups switched and played the other. Well, we can say that Mysha’s group won in Griddle, and Hyeono and Rayan won scrabble in my group. I could predict since Mysha’s is super good at English and i am, not that good at English. Next day, we also didn’t do the Vocabulary Quiz since we only had 1 Period. So, we answered our seatwork but on a real copy, it was basically a review to see if we had learned anything. It was okay, I was struggling a bit but I got the hang of it. That’s it, see you on the next blog!:)

Mysha, it wasn't over 400. - Blog 1.3 - Aire M.

Hello! Welcome to another blog by me :) Since I was absent for a few days last week, I missed AEP, so this is technically my 2nd blog. While people were writing their 2nd blogs, I started reading them (the seniors' mostly) and I learned a lot . Did you know 75% of the population is afraid of speaking to other people? I am not, but I become scared when I go to the front of the class and know 18 pairs of eyes are on me, I struggle to do the thing I do a bit too much, speak. (I am a very talkative person, I'm sorry.) I also learned how to improve my blog, and that you can add photos? I noticed that a lot of the photos were aesthetic so I got this one from Pinterest. Isn't it pretty? I also learned I don't have to make these blogs so short, it can also become really deep and I can really express my feelings. Speaking of checking other's blogs, when I went back to my first blog, I saw that I had... wait what? 104 views?! I didn't know I was so famous! I guess it'...

Blog 1.2 || Getting Further Acquainted || Shasmeen M.

a curious creature Goooood day, readers! As of current, our second week has so far been fulfilling our productivity expectations that I hope to see for the rest of the year.  We began the Monday period with a speedy round of Diffle, the word revealed to be "escort". Then we jumped right into the anticipated vocabulary quiz. For the vocabulary quiz, we simply needed to spin the wheel on the board to choose the one word we'd need to define and provide an example for. I got the word "dour", an adjective meaning gloomy and ill-humored. I was successful, and once everyone got their turn, essay writing resumed. Miss Disa decided that we retry the first IELTS task we used in the previous lesson, implementing the tips and techniques we were shown before. This time, the words pieced themselves together much more nimbly (albeit that I wasn't able to integrate as much of the data and trends as I wanted to include due to trying to being more concise and quick), and orga...

Productive Week! - [Blog 2 Naboni-AEP10]

Greetings, y'all! Surprised to see me back so quickly? Just like I've mentioned before, there will be more frequent blogs, each every week! So I will quickly take you through all the endeavors we did during the last week in AEP. Buckle up and let's get started! We started the first class of the week with a warmup game, as usual; Diffle. As challenging diffle might have seemed along with the strict time limit, we have grown quite accustomed to it. After the warm-up, there was time for the dreaded vocab quiz. One by one went in front of the board and spun a wheel of words and had to state their meanings and use them in a sentence. Adrenaline rushed in me as the quiz began, and I desperately prayed not to forget what I studied. Luckily, my word was "guise" and I knew the answer. By the end of the quiz, most of us had passed with a high score! After the quiz was over, we were given to write the same IELTS Task 1 essay on British students from our last meeting. This ...

Haziq`s Second Blog

Another week has finished, and my energy has dimished, it's time for a blog!New challenges arrived , "Vocabulary quiz". Before we proceed with our vocabulary test , we have to start with our warm up game which was Diffle and we managed to get the word which was "escort".Chloe was the first one to and once it was finally my turn, I got so nervous to the point that my mind went blank. The wheel stopped at the word "reiterate".My mind was blank and i couldn`t recall what was the meaning of the word.Fortunately for me , I was given a second chance and I wouldn`t want to waste this so with all the praying , I spun the wheel and it landed on the word "deploy".I was so happy that I managed to get the definition right and was able to use it in a sentence. Moving on , in the last meeting we did an IELTS task 1 where we have to write and essay based on the chart that was provided in the question. This time , we did the same question and I can see that I ...

We had a quiz not really a quiz but a its a vocab quiz so I didnt know most of the words in the vocab quiz so it sucked but somehow I was very nervouse because I knew what would happen but I had a good news and a bad one because first of all I had 3 people in my group and second of all we had some good people like mysha and aleena but dont really know if aleena was good but that was good. and I didnt really study hard and also I was really lucky at that time when I had so good luck to get evolve as my first word even tho that luck would never happen again so I got a point then I lost one which wasnt supposed to make me sad because thats how it goes luck=no joy. and I lost because of me and I felt bad.

AEP BLOG 2 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

AEP BLOG 2 - Summer Rose S. Valdez                    The second week of AEP felt like the perfect mix of productivity and relaxation.  On our first meeting, we had our very first vocabulary quiz.   To be entirely honest, I was a bit nervous as I saw others putting more effort into preparing for it than I did.  Thankfully, I was able to do every word chosen for me.                      Soon after that, we started doing a simple and short seatwork with our groupmates.  It felt relatively easy and was fun to do.  We also managed to resolve some blogger problems.  I was very relieved that I could now post on the website without difficulty in order to submit my blogs.                  The next day, we discussed the answers to the seatwork we did previously.  I did fe...

AEP Never seems to fail me with more surprises. - Janek -Blog#2 -AEP10

The first blog has been written, and it's been about a week since its deadline, and it's apparent to the class that many things could happen in two sessions. Furthermore, the padlets have also been completed, and reminiscing about them has been awfully pleasant. Knowing that the past me has suffered more than the one currently living in the present is relieving. Although the future remains untold, let's just look further back instead. Anyway, it seems as though the past is an indelible satisfaction to many. In this case, let's indulge in this past and perhaps give our honest opinions on it! To begin with, we have our resplendent Monday morning with a warm-up game, which, I must say, has changed in a certainly contorted manner. You would never have expected the warm-up games to switch up, but recalling Miss's revelation to advance and make the game choice inconsistent changes the picture. The warmup game on this day would be entitled "diffle", peculiar to s...
