Blog 3.2 - Adi's Inferno - 9th circle

Disclaimer: I've never actually read Dante's inferno because it's Christian text lol. I think the circles do end at 9? or 7? I'm not sure. (I'm basing everything I know off of pop culture. This is not meant to be accurate.) Happy morning!! The last blog ended on a rather helpful note, I think. I'm hoping to keep this post rather short since a lot happened already. If I recall correctly, we had our quiz last (last?) week. Or midterms? I've truly got it all mixed up already since I feel as though we don't have much time for AEP anymore. (Granted I was absent this week but let's not talk about that.) How was the midterms? Miss promised us a crossword and she delivered! Thank you! I panicked to myself the night before as I tried reviewing all the words. Sadly, on the test itself, I missed one particular word and it made my blood boil that I couldn't get full marks. Whatever, right? It's just one mark. Anyways, I'm happy enough that it is all...

Blog 3.1 - Adi's Inferno - 8th circle

A blessed morning to everyone and Ramadhan Mubarak! This marks the start to the Third Semester and you can now watch us all slowly descend into the madness of Cambridge AS exams and the second phase of the Stem Congress for us poor poor Stem takers. Anyways, it's Ramadhan though so we must remain positive and halal as much as possible!!!!!!!! What happened since the last blog I wrote? Finals, Musical, and now Mock exams... Okay! For the AEP finals, I can say I was utterly flabbergasted. Was 100% fully expecting a crossword like our usual exams but Miss had us scour our brains and wracking up memories to remember how we answered the seatwork paper she originally gave us? The exam was just a repeat of that. I memorized MOST of the answers but I couldn't get 100 on these finals this time :((( well I'll be damned. Next, the musical!!! Oh boy. Three months of hell for that whole ordeal to be over in 10 minutes flat. Three months of hell for a few seconds of applause. I have a l...

Blog 2.3 - Adi's inferno - 7th circle

Happy New Years! Our new year has been nothing short of hectic. January is just about to end and so am I getting closer to ending it all (I'm joking) Besides that, how has life been for us? The Stem Congress is straight up a mess and I'm so glad it's behind us (for now). We'll still have to continue with working on our other experiments as well as making a final paper and whatnot. Besides that, life is a little free (except for the barrage of quizzes getting thrusted upon us). It's still crazy to me how finals is still not for a while! They might be edging us with the looming feeling of doom of hell slowly creeping upon our figure in the form of shadows hanging over our bedside lamp. But who am I to say? The first two weeks of AEP was quite uneventful. With Miss Disa being gone, we had some free time and  we also played some word games to occupy ourselves in the mean time.  When she returned, we started with more new vocabularies! The topic this time is homelessnes...

Blog 2.2 - Adi's Inferno - 6th circle

Wee woo I'm running out of circles to write about!!! Eh, it'll be fine. Once I finish the 9th circle I'll just add onto it with the 10th circle. The circles in Adi's inferno are infinite apparently. Anyways, how was this week? Besides the occasional stress of the up-coming stem congress (I will be slowly burning my skin alive for this oh god why is this happening). Safe to say I very much enjoy Stem Congress (No I DO NOT it is HELL THIS IS WHY I DIDN'T WANT TO JOIN STEM) I was on the brink of crying my eyes out when our biology teacher gave us a jumpscare this Monday where we'll be having a quiz on Wednesday!!! That's right, a quiz on the day that we have AEP! I was worried as all heck when I got this news I was screaming crying and throwing up (This is an exaggeration. I am just fine, thank you). Nevertheless, I aced the quiz (As yours truly always does) or at least I hope I did. I didn't study as much as I should for t hat quiz so safe to say I wasn...

Blog 2.1 - Adi's inferno - 5th circle

WELCOME WELCOME TO TERM 2!!!!! My my what a fun day! So much went down in the last two weeks of the first and second AEP meetings of the new term. But first, let me rant about the finals. Oh my god.  STRESS STRESS STRESS!! No better way to describe finals. I'm not sure if this is just because this is the first finals for this new year but good heavens what the actual heck was that. I know Grade 11 isn't easy but good god! You know what the worst part about all that stress was? I had plans of studying at one of my favorite cafes for my exams and yet I was bestowed the misfortune of having that cafe be full for the day that I needed to study before the exams. I cried as I reviewed at home because let me tell you, there was nothing I hated more than studying at home. I never get enough focus and nothing goes to my brain. (Part of the reason why I often stay after school to do my work) Anyways, regardless of all that, the exams went pretty well (for me at least). I had the worst ...

Blog 1.5 - 4th circle!! (I've never actually read Dante's inferno)

Back at it again, back to back! Back back back Wow chicken lol Anyways, guess who's back?! (I wrote the other blog just 2 minutes ago.) What did we do now in the most recent AEP session, hm? QUIZ!!!! Or so I thought.  I was panicking around... Monday night? When I saw Miss Disa's post regarding the "quiz" on Wednesday, I was running up and down the walls and crying. "QUIZ??? QUIZ ALREADY?!!!" I say in my most crybaby and desperate voice. Funnily enough, on Tuesday, I had planned to bring my book home and study for the night because I was panicking but I didn't end up actually bringing it home. Sad. But, my spirit wasn't broken! I searched up google docs and studied all the words from the ONLINE seatwork I submitted just a week before. Thank you, lazy Adi. If it weren't for your absolute distaste for handwritten notes, I don't know where I would be right now. So anyways, I studied those words vigorously and searched up ALL the definitions. Ma...

Blog 1.4 - 3rd circle (How did Dante do this???)

This is a lil late oopsie- but hey no hard feelings. This is all to catch up from Blog 3 anyway. So many suspensions! SO MANY SUSPENSIONS!!! I'm not gonna lie. The first... say 1-2 days of suspension was great. I love not having to come to school. I love having holidays. But by the 4th day, I got worried. EXTREMELY worried. Mind you, we barely had any time left during the week for classes and to review especially since Midterms was the next week after that. I was really praying that they might push the Midterms honestly, but that was clearly just a pipe dream. Regardless, I crammed all my studying during the suspensions and therefore had a wonderful time during exams (I lied, I did nothing during our suspensions and I was absolutely miserable and I only crammed everything the weekend before the exams.) I think my midterms went rather fine, actually. They weren't easy. God knows they weren't easy. But I didn't fail any and all my Coolsis grades were above 90 so I can sa...

Blog 1.3 - 2nd Ring (Or is "2nd Circle" better??)

THIRD BLOG RAAAHHHHHHHHHH okay let's get this over with. What did we do this week? Or, "day" I suppose, 'cause we only have one day for AEP nowadays.  Today was pretty simple all things considered. We mostly just did a bunch of seatwork to pass the time.  Of course, we first started with Diffle and it was finished quite fast (Miss complained but we're just too smart hehehehehe). Soon after, Miss had us write down three of our favorite words from last week's vocab activity. Both from the collocations and the ones we discussed in Miro. We then had a mini quiz where each of us picked one of our three words and said them to the class before writing them down on our notebooks and giving an example sentence. It basically went like: Adi: "Facilitate." Everyone else: *writes down the word and sentence* Adi: "Wait, what's facilitate again?" I ended up looking through my notebook for the definition of that one :v And then after the break, we had...

Blog 1.2 - 1st Ring

Hi hii and welcome to another blog!! I woke up late this morning (oopsie) so I had to do my makeup in a Starbucks bathroom, but besides that I had a pretty smooth-sailing morning. So what did we do on the second week? Firstly, we did another game for warmup of coursee! We played the same game as last time, "Diffle". It was fun and compared to last time, we got the word relatively quickly. Soon after, Miss Disa had us fix up our little Miro board of all the vocabulary we learned last week. I was mostly done with it but I stayed to edit a few of the sentences and whatnot so that it'll be neater and easier to read. Right after we were done finishing up the board, Miss Disa has us do a little vocab quiz! In summary, she put all the words we learned in Miro into the wheel of death, and what ever word pops up, the group that handled that word will have to explain the definition and how that word is used in context. It was pretty easy for me since I memorized the definitions fo...

Blog 1.1 - Adi's inferno (jkjk)

HI HI HIIII AND WELCOME TO A NEW ACADEMIC YEARRR!!! Oh god. Here we go again. There are many things to love about finally going back to school. I was getting bored and lonely at home  with my 10 cats and zero hobbies. (It's really odd to say that studying is my hobby because it makes me look like a worthless nerd with no friends and no life but the reality is I genuinely don't do anything but study.) Not that I didn't enjoy the summer break though. I mean, I enjoy sleeping till noon, staying up late, and binging several Netflix shows but it really does get boring after a while. (Remind me to get proper hobbies for the next break.) I believe that I should be given time to rest my brain but when my brain power is not used once in a while, it starts melting and the brain goop will start leaking out of my ears. I'll be nothing but a zombie with a beating heart. Or maybe a vegetable.  Vacation was fun though. I went travelling with my dad but I did still spend most of it a...
