Blog 2.3 - Adi's inferno - 7th circle

Happy New Years! Our new year has been nothing short of hectic. January is just about to end and so am I getting closer to ending it all (I'm joking)

Besides that, how has life been for us? The Stem Congress is straight up a mess and I'm so glad it's behind us (for now). We'll still have to continue with working on our other experiments as well as making a final paper and whatnot. Besides that, life is a little free (except for the barrage of quizzes getting thrusted upon us).

It's still crazy to me how finals is still not for a while! They might be edging us with the looming feeling of doom of hell slowly creeping upon our figure in the form of shadows hanging over our bedside lamp. But who am I to say?

The first two weeks of AEP was quite uneventful. With Miss Disa being gone, we had some free time and  we also played some word games to occupy ourselves in the mean time.

When she returned, we started with more new vocabularies! The topic this time is homelessness and poverty. It involves all the gritty and grimy details of the other side of the world where people are less than fortunate. I like how it features a lot of real social issues that us as a society often put aside. I like learning about more serious topics like this so I can say I'm having quite a blast.

Other than that, I'm also someone who writes a lot of my own stories. Fiction, if you will. A lot of the topics in those stories features the very many words we are learning! Miss was surprised to see that I was familiar with the words we discussed the first week she was back. I don't really know what to say? I guess to me these sorts of topics and words feel common and somewhat ordinary. But hey, the more you know!

And it's not like I know everything already. I've been made to learn some more words that I'm also unfamiliar with. So yeah! I don't in fact know "everything".

I also quite like the seatworks we have nowadays. Compared to last year, this is MUCH preferred. It's not as complex as well.

Anyways, that's all for now! Thank you for reading!

And So It Begins...- Chloe Lloveras- Blog 3 T3- AEP 10

Maps have become my new enemy. I know this may sound dramatic, but I really just can't seem to like them. As an artist who loves anything related to colors and drawings, you'd think a map of all things would be right up my alley, but you'd definitely be wrong. The feeling of facing your adversary is like no other- this desperate thirst to defeat them, dying to be quenched. And so it begins... The day before the exam, we played "Squardle," but the joy it gave us upon completion was short-lived as it was replaced by the impending atmosphere of doom looming above us. I felt a pit in my stomach when I walked into the classroom the next morning. But I was prepared...or so I had thought. I only managed to score 87%, which in reality was actually a 77% because Miss Disa added 10 points to help bump up our grades. I barely passed really, but that doesn't matter now. When I had finished taking the exam, all I could think of was that it was finally over. I could relax...

AEP- Blog 3.3

Hello hello hello there! We meet again, for one. last. blog.  Woah, it has been a ride hasn't it. A year sure does go by fast. It seriously felt not that long ago that I had written my first blog of the year. Definitely did not feel like 9 whole months. Reading said blog made realize now that I had nothing to worry about after all. That I have been proven wrong about not having fun in AEP. Sure, the work has gotten a lot tougher and was doubled to what we had last year. But hey, we're in G8 now and that's to be expected, AEP or not. And we still managed to play word games, some old, some new, and challenged ourselves in the best way possible. The seatworks we had DEFINITELY challenged me this year. But I wouldn't say all of them were so bad, only some. I really enjoyed the vocab quizzes. It really did help expand my vocabulary, and now whenever I read a book and encounter a word from one of the quizzes, I get all excited cause I know what it means now. I feel a bit sad...
