MIss Disa's AEP class 23-24

 Helllooooo term 3 !!!! First blog of the semester, and so far, I’m feeling pretty confident with myself. With the musical done and enjoyed, it’s much less stressful when there’s less to think about. And yes, although Cambridge exams are approaching, I’m hoping I’ll be able to use the new vocabulary I learn in AEP in my English papers! It’s always fun to use new words when I’ve just learned them, haha. Anyway, AEP has definitely been much more relaxing since we started learning different lexicon. I’m looking forward to getting to know more advanced vocabulary in the future! As always, thank you miss for making our classes more engaging :]] it’s way better now that we’re using paper instead of our gadgets for our activities since we won’t be having any more technical issues hehe

  AEP Blog #2.2 “Article readers” Hellooooo everyone! WE’RE IN TERM TWOOO! Isn’t that just shocking?? Sorry to say that I’m late for the blogs but here I am with my technically first but second blog of term 2! Let’s begin with a recap of what we did in our last AEP class. To start off, we played this rather silly yet enjoyable game called “my grandma went to the store and bought…”. We’d have to finish the sentence, and each word or ‘item’ we said would have to be repeated by the next person. We were going alphabetically so that it wouldn’t go out of board. It was actually pretty fun, and it kind of challenged me to remember what everyone was saying. Huge brain teaser — I would definitely want to play this again. And with my luck — we did! But this time, it was “meet my new friend, they’re very…” and the words are adjectives to describe a person. I LOVED this.   A Fresh Beginning 8th August 2023 A brand new start for a brand new grade 11 student! My second year in AEP after a very long (and well-deserved) summer break. I'm already looking forward to the Wordle brain teasers in the morning! Albeit we only have one session a week which is really unfortunate. After Miss had briefed us on the general basis of what our lessons will hold, I learned that this year is going to be a lot more rigorous and comprehensive in work. I assumed this was because our time in AEP per week was cut short. Despite that, I still can't wait to resume the more in-depth English lessons -- especially since we'll learn more about advanced vocabulary in the following semesters! Additionally, since my other classmates don't have ESL anymore, our numbers in AEP have practically doubled this year! It's a lot more crowded (and noisy), and most of the seats are taken now.   An Unoriginal Title: Second Blog 15th August 2023 Second blog of term 1! It's a little odd to be writing a blog with such a short interval from the first one, haha. But I'll enjoy writing the weekly AEP reflections nonetheless. Since there isn't really much for me to say (and I've kind of forgotten what happened last lesson), expect this blog to be very   short. Anyway, I'll just start with a vague recap of what we did in our last lesson! We began with (of course) the usual morning icebreaker. This time it was Diffle -- which is basically Wordle except the word isn't limited to just five letters. After that, I believe we worked in our groups to finish up our vocabulary activity. Miss brought out a (the) wheel (of doom) with our vocabulary words on it and whichever word it landed on we had to define and put in context. AEP Blog, The Threequel 22nd August 2023 Third blog incoming! These blogs have really racked my brain on the creative side when it comes to intros, haha. But anyway, on with the usual description of last week's lesson:  It's a little hazy to me, but one thing I do remember is having our quiz. Miss went around the class and gave each of us a turn to pick one of the three words we chose from the vocabulary list we were learning. We had to define and put that word into context, and despite how simple that task was, I barely knew or used any of the words before they were introduced so it was pretty difficult for me. This was probably not the threequel you were hoping for (apologies if you were) because it, unfortunately, ends here.
