 AEP Blog #2.2 “Article readers”

Hellooooo everyone! WE’RE IN TERM TWOOO! Isn’t that just shocking?? Sorry to say that I’m late for the blogs but here I am with my technically first but second blog of term 2!

Let’s begin with a recap of what we did in our last AEP class. To start off, we played this rather silly yet enjoyable game called “my grandma went to the store and bought…”. We’d have to finish the sentence, and each word or ‘item’ we said would have to be repeated by the next person. We were going alphabetically so that it wouldn’t go out of board. It was actually pretty fun, and it kind of challenged me to remember what everyone was saying. Huge brain teaser — I would definitely want to play this again.

And with my luck — we did! But this time, it was “meet my new friend, they’re very…” and the words are adjectives to describe a person. I LOVED this. It didn’t seem like it to my classmates but I really enjoyed trying to think of (or even search for) new words or synonyms for adjectives. It really helped broaden my vocabulary — especially since we’re writing a story for English.

But, honestly speaking, the highlight of that day was the articles we read in the last minutes of class. 3 articles, crazy topics, fun discussions. I mean — why would a turkey need to be pardoned? They did nothing wrong! They’re the ones getting eaten! And why are we still trying to find Nessie? I mean, it would be cool if we found her, and she is quite the legend, but it’s been so long and I just feel like people are getting too bored. Lastly, never in a million years would I think I had to imagine France teeming with bedbugs.

Anywayyy, I think that’ll be it for this blog. It was a fun day as usual! And there were lots of things to share. Until next timeeee! Thanks for reading. :DDD

And So It Begins...- Chloe Lloveras- Blog 3 T3- AEP 10

Maps have become my new enemy. I know this may sound dramatic, but I really just can't seem to like them. As an artist who loves anything related to colors and drawings, you'd think a map of all things would be right up my alley, but you'd definitely be wrong. The feeling of facing your adversary is like no other- this desperate thirst to defeat them, dying to be quenched. And so it begins... The day before the exam, we played "Squardle," but the joy it gave us upon completion was short-lived as it was replaced by the impending atmosphere of doom looming above us. I felt a pit in my stomach when I walked into the classroom the next morning. But I was prepared...or so I had thought. I only managed to score 87%, which in reality was actually a 77% because Miss Disa added 10 points to help bump up our grades. I barely passed really, but that doesn't matter now. When I had finished taking the exam, all I could think of was that it was finally over. I could relax...

AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...
