AEP Blog #3.1 “A little DRAMAH!”

Welcome back to another super sweet blogger blogging day! Blog created by yours truly. The past few months have been a chaotic mess of emotions and experiences, and as I sit down to recount it all, I can't shake the overwhelming feels of exhaustion and gosh am I dreading this(Okay, this sounds like a bit TOO much but to be honest it really was like this)  The highlight of the last few months was definitely the Musicale experience at Samsung Hall. Months of preparation and anticipation all put together for a preformance in the evening for family and friends. It coudlve been better if it wasnt for the timing, or the circumstance I guess. But regardless, the night was pretty interesting. A good way to meet friends you havent met for a while and to reconnect with the magic of preforming on stage.  Through the indefinite amount of schoolwork we are given. there is still A levels to worry about.I just wish it was something more to care, rather than an ultimate ending kind of ...

AEP Blog #2.4 “Half a term, half a term”

Welcome to 2024 folks~ I really wanted to make this blog have your typical blog introduction that you see on this page but lets make it a little more personal this time.   This interesting academic chapter of my life will surely come with twists, Im sure my classmates are wondering about the same thing of themselves.Since 1st semester has finished, and the half of 2nd semester has as well — leaves us with another half. But whats interesting about this half is how much faster time will fly here in comparison to the earlier ones. It feels like as if it is the end of the year, and its not helping when we have several responsibilities packed up — its much more easier to lose yourself in the concept of time.  NOW! On to the good stuff — an introduction of AEP 2024. For the games we play in class, I always find the most fun whike playing contexto. I think I remember explaining how the game works in a previous blog, so I wont this time. However, that meeting we played contexto...

AEP Blog #2.3 “The vocabs!”

Good day dear readers!  This blog will be a little different; aside from the whole “exam week is coming up” stuff that I’d probably bring up if I wanted to make this like a normal blog but then I thought again — what better way to introduce you! The reader! With just exactly what our midterms will be focusing on today. Basically, our midterms are crosswords — so ms tells us the words to learn then we have to put them in the crossword. So, Ill talk about each of the words here today!  We have our own papers that we were allowed to take home. With that being said, we have choice to study the words since all the meanings are placed in the paper already. Unit 5 is all about describing people, yourself or others. Starting off with word no.1: affable  Someone who is affable makes me think of the word “ABLE to talk to others easily” they are the type of people who get along with others without a problem whatsover. They are friendly, polite and very approachable. Word no.2...

AEP Blog #2.2 “Pen and paper”

(Before I start, I would just like to add how long it has been since I last put a generic title. Oddly enough I really could not think of a good one. I love titles… this is something I won’t forget.)  A pleasant good day to you dear reader~ Welcome back to another special blog made by yours truly. [Just imagine I am throwing heart emojis over here.. PEW PEW!] As I sit down to write another blog, it's hard to think that December is just around the corner. Honestly you can hear all the christmas music(eveb 2x louder than before.. not saying it didn’t start in september!!!).Its crazy to me that in just two days, we’ll reach the final month of 2023. Time was such (and is still) an ungraspable concept to me. And to go more into this situation — the Student Parliament has been more stressed than ever. I really wanted us to start prepping for the year end party much earlier but It wasn’t possible because everyone is so busy. To note that this program is one of the biggest programs we’ll b...

AEP Blog #2.2 “A new ambiance is always welcomed”

Good day dear reader! Welcome back to a freshly baked blog by yours truly~  This blog will be a little short unfortunately! I’ll call it the catch-up blog. Just what exactly have we been up to since the start of the second term? Its been around 2 weeks now, so lets see just how well we were able to manage our time for those two days.  Lets get right into it!  The first meeting of the second term (that was after our sem break) was a very cold one. Im not sure about my other classmates but I definitely felt cold that day, I think it was because of the weather or I wasn’t feeling well that morning? Regardless, I remember feeling very chilly that day. Ms Disa introduced a new game that tested all of our memories! It was so much fun honestly; just thinking about that meeting makes me chuckle because its so silly just how much we wanted to elongate the game. It was if our grandma went to the market, what would she buy? And so, we’d constantly repeat and add one more item ...

AEP Blog #1.6 “Unexpected predicaments”

Greetings, dear readers! As I sit down to share the latest chapter of my life.. hooray.. I can't help but reflect on that crazy 1st term which included  the 9-day long holiday following our 1st term final exams. While most students were looking forward to a well-deserved break, it seems like fate had other plans for me. You see, instead of whacking on in the leisurely joys of a holiday(especially one someone like me would look forward to) I found myself laying in bed unable to do anything I wanted to do. It seemed like God wanted something else. The huge chunk of the holiday included and blurred into a haze of coughs, sneezes, and a never-ending supply of tissues that I am 100% sure of my mum will kill me about. Now on to the good stuff.   The day after our last exam, Wednesday had an indoor sports fest. It was honestly very interesting since a year can change so much and how I see events like this in school. It was very exciting and I lost my voice towards the end of the even...

AEP Blog #1.5 " Adjacent scenarios"

Good day, dear readers!  Today, as I sit down to pen (well.. more like type) another chapter of my life in this cozy little corner of FIS wonders,,, I can already hear the sighs of students knowing the fact this week is the equivalent of stress week. All quizzes, added with how we have.. 1st term FINAL EXAMS! Its the big boss, the first among the three.  Regardless, as I scratch my head, gazing out the window at the.. buildings (okay.. I really cannot sound poetic in Manila) , I find myself pulling my hair out because of exam week, which is just around the corner.  But theres always our favorite English class, AEP. Yes, you heard it right. Nowadays, AEP is not just another english subject; it's a motivating force to be honest, urging me to rise above the chaos of quizzes and assessments that threaten to whack my sanity. It's like a room where all the weight of the land of.. well.. schoolwork lifts off my shoulders as soon as I step into Ms. Disa's classroom. Before I dive...

AEP Blog #1.4 “Speeding up the treadmill”

Good day dear reader! Welcome back to the most freshest of the freshest blogs out there, my kitchen is surely creating the most fine dining dishes to feast yourselves on!  To start off..  I don’t actually use the treadmill. Upon making the title, I was thinking to just go with it since its the PERFECT way to describe school nowadays and how I (supposedly)”work out” especially to change myself. Taadaa! But I do not! I absolutely despise the smell in the gym — it is as unnatural as it gets. But anyway, this is what I can say to describe my second half of the first semester in FIS. Although more specifically, in AEP. The semester kick-started with a rush as my classmates and I found ourselves wrapping up midterms. It's always a whirlwind experience, isn't it? The days leading up to the exams filled with late-night study sessions and fervent last-minute reviews. I couldn't help but reflect on how swiftly time flies in the academic place.  Now, let's talk about AEP. The ...

AEP Blog #1.3 “Slowing down and speeding up”

Hello there dear reader! Welcome back to another (well.. more like hopefully the first and last late blog) this was supposed to be uploaded a while back, but thankfully with the mercy of Ms Disa - I was able to have Saturday as my due-date. I am so thankful for that, my apologies Ms!  This week has been..rather tiring. I kid you not each subject teacher probably collectively decided to throw quizzes at us for this week and the next. Am I complaining? Yes. Is it understandable? Yes. This is because our exams are coming pretty soon, so I digress. (Hypothetically)  Upon writing this blog, because of my goldfish memory span — I checked padlet and looked through what we had done. My classmates usually write more in padlet than I do, so I honestly would want to thank them everyday for expressing their thoughts in an in-depth manner which frankly I should do too during padlet times. When I looked through padlet, it mentioned on how we went through our assessments given the prev...

AEP Blog #1.2 “Fresh new ideas for the dusty mind”

Good day dear readers! Today I bring to you a blog that may not be as miserable as the first one; but rather an inspiring one to those who are in need of a special read in the middle of the week.  I am not so sure how long I’ll keep this blog, but I’ll try to keep it’s length coherent with my standard… so lets welcome our topic of the day!  “Fresh new ideas for the dusty mind” The first week after-school can be rather exciting and full of possibilities! You meet your friends and catch up with them, see how your teachers are to mentally plan your schedules, look for plans that could possibly make your school year a little more fun..but once those first 2 weeks of school ends, the sudden rush of disappointment and laziness hits. For some reason, the flowers that show up when you enter the school building have now turned to ugly little moss. The citrus fresh air you used to smell upon entering the classroom have now been replaced by an ugly-sweaty smell. ‘Ah yes, this is de...

AEP Blog #1.1 “Nostalgic, adrenaline rush”

Welcome back, dear reader! The all new — well done — freshly cooked blog!  Thats right, I lost a lot of my ability to work with adjectives. I guess thats what three dashing months of using your comfort language (Your own version of english) does to you…I am not complaining though! Its always like this; frankly it is only a matter of getting back on that ‘academic brain’ you left inside your locker before moving up a grade.  Honestly, my jaw still drops to the floor every time I hear ‘Grade 11’ used to call me and my classmates. Its a horrible feeling I must say — knowing the fact that we are just merely 1 more year away from walking that ballroom aisle one last time. Although I must say how I am very much overjoyed over how our class is just a continuation of last year so the family bond is still strong! I do miss my other classmates who left unfortunately, due to several personal reasons; especially Dilara — but as they always say: “Time heals all wounds.” Right! So it’s abou...
