Blog 3.2 - It's time for goodbyes (Nurhanis Grade 12)

This is it. It's the final blog. It's always difficult to find time and sit down and write this blog but when I actually start, words just keep coming out of my mouth. So much has happened from the start of the school year to this day. Not only have I grown older but I feel like I have grown better as a person. I've learned that life comes with responsibilities and high school helps me prepare for that - and clearly I'm not ready for that. However, time just goes on and so does life. People change as much as I did and I feel like blogging is a way to look back on those moments. I still remember when I first joined AEP classes. My first impressions were horrible. I was greeted with the first task which is to write essays based on graphs. And here I thought only math uses graphs - apparently not. Online and virtual classes are VERY DIFFERENT. Although I've met Ms Disa and Ayse online, actually seeing them face-to-face adds a new picture to knowing their personalities....

Straight To The Past — Leo's LAST Blog!

As I look at the blogs of all the other people, I realize I may not be in the headspace to be able to write as much as them. So, I'll keep it short and simple: this year has been a changer for me. Writing this at 12:42 AM with only a nap worth one hour, I'm currently living my greatest life being bound to a gaming chair for the last 4 ... 5 ... 6 hours? I lost count. Anyway, the reason why I am doing this so late is because I have my IGCSE Computer Science exam tomorrow, and I've been studying countless of nights for every single subject ... a day before. It's okay though, because I do expect a lot from just a day of studying! A runback to my original blog, my first blog titled "Back To The Future", I am headed straight to the past! This year, you could probably say I've drastically plateaued in the level of my English. I wouldn't say that I improved, but that's only because whenever there's something new, there's more to learn, and I am st...

AEP- Blog 3.3

Hello hello hello there! We meet again, for one. last. blog.  Woah, it has been a ride hasn't it. A year sure does go by fast. It seriously felt not that long ago that I had written my first blog of the year. Definitely did not feel like 9 whole months. Reading said blog made realize now that I had nothing to worry about after all. That I have been proven wrong about not having fun in AEP. Sure, the work has gotten a lot tougher and was doubled to what we had last year. But hey, we're in G8 now and that's to be expected, AEP or not. And we still managed to play word games, some old, some new, and challenged ourselves in the best way possible. The seatworks we had DEFINITELY challenged me this year. But I wouldn't say all of them were so bad, only some. I really enjoyed the vocab quizzes. It really did help expand my vocabulary, and now whenever I read a book and encounter a word from one of the quizzes, I get all excited cause I know what it means now. I feel a bit sad...

Until next time!- Meral- AEP 10- Blog 3

Time has come for my final blog for this school year... so here it is! This school year has been particularly interesting and it really is bittersweet that we're onto the final week. As for AEP, with its ebbs and flows, I'm glad to have attended Miss Disa's class and learned from the big and small. Undoubtedly, everything we've absorbed will prove useful, even if we don't realize it as of now. Now, let's delve into the recent events- after all, it's been a minute since my last post. April 15th kicked off smoothly with a spirited game of Squardle, offering a tempting reward of 10 merits upon completion. Naturally, this spurred us into action, our voices animated as we scrambled to form words. The following day marked our Midterm exams, which, I must say, went reasonably well, considering we had ample time to complete them. Surprisingly, I found myself finishing early for the first time ever. While my responses may not have been detailed as I would've like...

AEP 10 - BLOG#3 - Term 3 - Janek - LAST BLOG

After browsing through the Padlets, I found myself struggling to recall much of what they contained. It's like everything's been swept into a haze, perhaps due to the many of thoughts asking for attention in my mind. But that's what makes the padlet so crucial—it serves as a nudge to remember our journey and the experiences that might otherwise slip away unnoticed. Some moments, like the ordeal of writing essays, are probably best left in the shadows. However, before vanishing them to oblivion, let me delve into these memories in this blog. So, let's rewind back to April. Midterm Mayhem Midterm exams have always been a daunting hurdle for me. It was just another essay, or so I thought. Our teacher assured us that it would be based on an essay we'd previously studied about islands, leading me to believe that studying wasn't necessary. But when I sat down to tackle the exam, reality hit me like a ton of bricks. I managed to score an 84%, albeit with Miss Disa'...

see ya - blog 3.3 - aire❤️

Greetings to all of you! I am your Author, Aire Marcellana! Why do I sound all dramatic and fancy all of a sudden? Is it the influence of reading a book set back in like the 1800s about a moving circus? Maybe. However, there is another reason. You see, this is my last blog. Sure, it's the year's last blog, but it's my  last blog. I'm moving to Filipino next year, meaning to say this will be my last AEP blog. Who knows? This week and the final's week AEP sessions might be my last AEP classes  ever . I know everyone's all happy the school year is ending, but I can't help but feel a bit bittersweet about it all. I can’t believe I’ve been in this school for 2 years already. This year went faster than grade 7, to be honest. Everyone said they felt the same. It’s kind of… scary, to be honest. That being said, it’s time to dive into what matters right now: the present- I mean this blog hehe ———————————————————————— MARCH 6, 2024 Today we started with an o...

Blog 3.3 - The end? Already?

It's kind of crazy how this is my last grade 8 blog.  Well, now I'm freed from procrastinating on these things! Woo! (heheheheh) May 6th Miss allotted us 15 minutes to solve a 68 (I think?) word squaredle. Surprisingly, we killed it. Although we weren't able to finish it within the time, Miss let gave us a bit more time due to how close we were. Good start to the week. Next up, vocab quiz. Miss gave us several exercises to revise before the actual quiz. Somehow, I got my first word wrong, levity. That made me feel like leaping off a building. Fortunately Miss allowed me to revive myself by answering 2 more words, which I got correct. I am still immensely disappointed in myself for getting that wrong. Seriously? Levity? Are you stupid? May 7th Today was a game day! We played the game that we did a few weeks ago, but with a twist: It was individual, and the people who got the longest words would snag the point. The letters were selected by us. Miss would ask us for a vowel or...

AEP finale blog ig

Welp, finals are in a week, looking forward to summer break but feeling the pressure already. Wifi in my house died and I have to do this on hotspot via my phone's mobile data. someone hit some important pole and poof goes the home wifi in this general area. Reignited a passion for writing and drawing, probably a good thing since English is one of the major subjects featured in the next week. though it's less like a match to a wildfire and more like a match to one of those indoor fireplace fires in log villas. School isn't too bad, it feels almost like a good rest period before the heavy hitter (no pun intended with pic) that is finals week. Overall not too bad (yet) but prob should start pre-buffing for the giant hurdle next week. pic is me tryin' to write this at 20:09

AEP BLOG #3.3d - Summer Rose S. Valdez

Well, well, well.  Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Summer Valdez's very last AEP blog for this school year!  Haha sorry, enough of that now.          I am absolutely dumbfounded that, finally, I am writing an AEP blog for the last time this school year.  So much has happened, yet it all somehow flashed past our eyes.  Why is that?  Can memories last forever?          So much has happened since the start of the school year, and I have learnt so much.  To think that it's finally come to an end feels peculiar and while exciting, a bit bittersweet. May 6 - "I Love This Class"      We begin with one of the last Squaredle games we'll play this school year.  This time though, we had a 15 minute time limit.  Our class failed to completely solve it before then, but we managed to finish it anyways shortly after.     Studying l...

One year of AEP!!!

Being the one single student in AEP, I perceive it as being part of a TV show. Miss Disa is the host of the TV show, and I'm the guest, somewhat. The classes start off with a round of Wordle, then moving to Connections and Letterbox, assuming that I'm able to solve all of them. After that, we proceed to talk about - things. Anything, really. From food to history to Japanese writers and their divine love towards jazz and weird magical realism surrounding sheep, to cultures all around the world and much more. And I also learned how to make coleslaw! (I burnt my fingers while cooking). There's so much that has happened so far in this TV show. Here's the chronological order of this lightning fast year packed with fascinating stuff. Except the grammar. Never the grammar. I'm sorry. I started off studying dialogues, placement of all kinds of punctuation marks, and the essentials for a typical story plot. Not disregarding the loads of grammar exercises after every Wordle s...

AEP Blog 3.2 -

April 15 - Monday We had our midterms today! It was a formatted like your typical seatwork. I honestly have no clue how well I did. Analyzing can be very tedious. After everyone finished their midterms, Miss introduced us to a new game. Essentially, Miss would split us into 2 groups - boys and women. She would then take a random array of letters and make the teams work together to find the most words out of the letters given. However, if you got the longest word then your team gets an automatic win! I found this game really exciting! Although I am absolutely horrible at unscrambling words, I enjoyed pushing my brain to the limit in conjuring obscure words. Girls won at the end. April 16 - Tuesday We started this lesson with my greatest enemy: Squaredle. Today the evil, evil board had 28 words, which we were decimated by, only thinking up 20 words. We yelled a lot (not ME, but THEM) Miss decided to make us play the game from Monday, however teams were mixed. I don't remember all o...

Aleena Imran - BLOG 3.3 - Grade 8

This is officially the last blog I’ll be writing for aep this year. It seems so sad that this school year has come to an end. So many things happened, but you don’t even realize it because it went so fast and now it’s just memories. The school year overall went by insanely fast, I barely remember what occurred during the first few months of the school year. And this is why I say to enjoy things while it’s happening, because it’s not gonna last forever, just cherish the moments while you can. And this is the last time I’ll be saying this. Without further ado, let the blog begin! May 6th, 2024 - Surprise, Vocab quiz! We started off with our squardle as usual, it contained 62 words. But this time we played it a bit differently, we had a 15 minute limit to guess all the words in time in order to get 10 merits. Ms chose Rayan to hold the pen but it didn’t turn out that well. He did not understand any word anyone would say. So Mysha just stole the pen from him, I love that. It wa...

Blog 3.2 The End [Izzah] Gr12

The end My last blog ever, honestly, I've always lowkey dreaded starting these blogs, however, I find myself immersed in my thoughts and emotions when I write down what I did and how I felt. I'm not a journal girl anymore, I used to be when I was younger, but then life got busy, and I got busy, and although most times I'm not physically busy, my mind is. It's hard when you know you have so much to do yet there's no willpower for u to start. That's how I felt about my blogs, however, the key to this was just to get my butt up, sit in front of my laptop, and START. Once I start writing the first word, it's hard to stop. Journaling may sound boring, well to me, but I find myself most reflective when I am writing these things down, it like kind of therapeutic in a way. To think about all my thoughts. Weird, but relaxing. It's like I'm telling myself that I'm doing fine, and I have nothing to worry about you know?  Anyway, AEP wasn't a big part of...
