AEP Blog #2.2 “Article readers” Hellooooo everyone! WE’RE IN TERM TWOOO! Isn’t that just shocking?? Sorry to say that I’m late for the blogs but here I am with my technically first but second blog of term 2! Let’s begin with a recap of what we did in our last AEP class. To start off, we played this rather silly yet enjoyable game called “my grandma went to the store and bought…”. We’d have to finish the sentence, and each word or ‘item’ we said would have to be repeated by the next person. We were going alphabetically so that it wouldn’t go out of board. It was actually pretty fun, and it kind of challenged me to remember what everyone was saying. Huge brain teaser — I would definitely want to play this again. And with my luck — we did! But this time, it was “meet my new friend, they’re very…” and the words are adjectives to describe a person. I LOVED this. It didn’t seem like it to my classmates but I really enjoyed trying to think of (or even search for) new words or synonyms f...

Nada Blog #2

A Normal Week As the week draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to share with you a glimpse of the experiences and challenges I encountered over the past few days. It has been a week filled with growth, determination, and a deep desire to learn. I hope this reflection provides you with insight into my journey and showcases my commitment to academics. Monday: Setting the Tone The week began with a sense of anticipation as I prepared to dive into our coursework. With refreshed energy and a clear focus, I set my goals for the week ahead. I prioritized organizing my assignments, reviewing notes, and developing a study plan. It was crucial for me to start strong and lay the foundation for a productive week of learning. Tuesday: Seeking Clarity As Tuesday unfolded, I found myself seeking clarity on some complex subjects we covered in class. I reached out to classmates and formed study groups to discuss concepts, exchange insights, and ask questions. Collaborative learning allowed ...

AEP Blog #2.3 “The vocabs!”

Good day dear readers!  This blog will be a little different; aside from the whole “exam week is coming up” stuff that I’d probably bring up if I wanted to make this like a normal blog but then I thought again — what better way to introduce you! The reader! With just exactly what our midterms will be focusing on today. Basically, our midterms are crosswords — so ms tells us the words to learn then we have to put them in the crossword. So, Ill talk about each of the words here today!  We have our own papers that we were allowed to take home. With that being said, we have choice to study the words since all the meanings are placed in the paper already. Unit 5 is all about describing people, yourself or others. Starting off with word no.1: affable  Someone who is affable makes me think of the word “ABLE to talk to others easily” they are the type of people who get along with others without a problem whatsover. They are friendly, polite and very approachable. Word no.2...

Blog 2.1 irfan 11

I don't know why. Last week i got hit by a sudden realization that I'm already in grade 11. It took me a while actually, I suddenly felt so motivated to focus on my study. Honestly, I hate the fact that there's not much of playtime anymore or maybe some people would say there is NO time at all. Anyways, back to what happen last week. It was really fun actually, we didn't really do much but the game that ms. Disa introduced us got me addicted to it. It was just so funny but again...I lost.  But yea, we didn't do much that day but it was fun still

Nurin's AEP Adventure (Term 2 #3)

Hi hi!!! Hope my blog finds you well. When I tell you I'm surviving, I really am.   It is the 3rd week of AEP and I am not proud to say that I slowly got driven back to my old habit of not completing works right away. I blame my procrastination virus once again, sad to say that it made a little comeback. Hence why this blog is written A WEEK after the actual AEP class. I was tired, mentally and physically and could not complete anything other than notes (it requires no thinking hahaha). But that's okay, progress is not a straight line. Sometimes, you're on top and sometimes you could be at the bottom for a bit. As long as you keep moving forward, you'll be alright!! Anyways, AEP class was a blast as usual. We kicked off with a game or Wordle and absolutely nailed it once again. We then proceed the lesson and learned how to avoid rudeness in writing emails. The way that lesson had saved me from unwanted issues in the future. I'm a person that lacks awareness when the...

Blog 3

I don't really know what to write about because I was absent so I'm just gonna write what I did on my absent day. I originally planned on going to school but had a really bad stomach ache so I just stayed home. Since I stayed home, I went back to my bed and writhed in pain on my bed until I fell asleep. I woke up at around 12 pm and made some food because I was starving. I made eggs and some toasted bread. I did some chores and cleaned my room and the house for abit, and did my remaining assignments. Although I didn't go to school, I would say it was a pretty productive day. I got alot of things done and it was just a day of relaxation for me.

Blog 2.3 - Writing Emails [Izzah] Gr12

Writing polite emails. This week's AEP started with a game called Wordle, which had a unique twist of presenting two words at the same time. The topic of this lesson was how to write a respectful email to someone or a business. It can be challenging to convey tone or emotion through an email, as paralinguistic techniques such as body language and facial expressions are not visible in text. Therefore, we explored how to write a formal email using more respectful and professional language to avoid coming off as rude. So in this short blog, I will be discussing the techniques I've learned in writing more respectful emails. --------------------------------- Greetings "Good morning, this is [name] from the department of [state]." There are several ways to politely greet someone, when an email is first written with a greeting, the reader is then able to familiarize with what this might be about, if there is no greeting, often the reader becomes uninterested and the email ca...

SURVIVINGG😀- Naboni(AEP10)_Blog: 2.2

Greetings and welcome back to another blog! How are you doing today? I can imagine you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything going on. Personally, I'm already feeling bogged down by the sheer number of syllabus and assignments piling up. Next week is looking especially daunting, with quizzes scheduled almost every day. And don't even get me started on midterms - I'm not ready at all to face those yet. But, if I'm being honest, the one thing that's keeping me going right now is the thought of the upcoming Christmas break! I miss being able to sleep🥲. Well, let's talk about the AEP classes now. The previous two weeks have been really productive I would say. On the Monday of the first week, we started the class with the usual warm-up game Squardle. With 3 people consecutively handing the magic pen that day(one of them being me), we only ended up finding about 50/65 words. And just like that, we started and ended the class with Squardle. On...

AEP T2 BLOG 3 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

I can't believe it is already time for the third blog of the second term, and possibly the last blog of the year.  Time flies fast, doesn't it?  As hard and stressful trimester 2 was in other subjects,  AEP has felt the same.  It feels like a breath of fresh air, after long days filled with numbers and scientific terms.  Without further ado, let us end this year's last blog with a bang!               November 28 - It's Okay To Lose     Our lesson of AEP began with something we didn't expect - we lost at Quordle.  It was unexpected, for we have mastered the art of this game, or so we thought.  The words this time were quite difficult, leaving us perplexed until the game over screen.  Regardless of the outcome, it was a fun warmup.     We then started studying the next vocabulary unit.  As per usual, everyone was assigned som...

Mysha M - Blog 2.2

Woah I'm incredibly late to this  Nov 20 We started another exciting week of AEP with the bane of my existance, squardle. There wasn't much to do, as previous grades had cleaned up most of the words, leaving us with only the most difficult. We managed to get a few of them, but couldn't finish.  Miss let us do a few more word games; quordle to be exact. We unfortunately failed our first round, probably because we were trying to rush it, but were sucessful afterwards.  Time for vocab review! Miss assigned Aleena to manage the class. I managed to define all my words <3 Nov 21  After quickly defeating the monster that is quordle, we started our vocab quiz. Although I didn't study, I finished all my assigned words.

Congee — Leo's Second Term Second Blog

Writing this before and after hectic weeks is truly something to be excited about. It feels nice to have 2 days of unforgettable laxness before school savages into your brain and makes it as mushy as congee (or as foreigners call it, porridge). Honestly, seeing the to-do list for next week, my brain already is mushier than congee—you can even call it water. However, this is not the time to talk about the morbid demises in the future, especially before Christmas! Let's talk history! The first Monday after writing the last blog, we were given another . . . Squardle! With 65 words and 40 minutes on the clock, we did a whopping 50 out of the given 65, which is spectacularly not very spectacular! I do not recall any of the words unfortunately, but from what the others have said, it was tough for us. I guess we just had a bad day, because the next day . . . The next day, Tuesday, we were given another Squardle! Under 10 minutes, we unveiled 25 words, which we were able to start off our l...

That Time of Year- Chloe Lloveras- Blog 2 T2- AEP 10

It's that time of year again! Christmas? Holidays? Winter break? Yes, those too, but first, midterms! But, hold on, let's rewind back to November 20, where I last left off. Monday mornings always started with "Squardle." Unfortunately for us, we were extra slow that day and only found 50 of the 65 words. Meanwhile, whilst racking our brains for more words, we received our essays from last meeting. I got 93%- not bad for my first try. I guess that just goes to show how much of a visual learner I am.  On the following day, we started again with "Squardle," but this time it had fewer words so we actually completed in 10 minutes. Then we moved to our real agenda for the day: practicing our vocabulary skills in preparation for the upcoming quiz. We're now on unit 6- some of the words I'm familiar with already like "ironic" or "premeditated," while others proved to be a bit strange like "extirpate," one of the words I received...

2nd Chance - Blog 2 - Haziq

The past few week flew by fast , just as fast as this introduction :) First thing on Monday morning , we have to start off the class with one and only Sqaurdle.I guess luck wasn't on our side because it was one of the toughest squardle we ever did and with that being said , we weren't able to finish the game . On the next day we also started  with Squardle but this time it's the easy squardle .Tuesday is probably one the best days to play squardle because we usually get the easy one . Afterwards we were assigned by miss 2 words that we needed to find the definition . After getting and memorizing the definition , Miss will then ask who`s word is who`s corresponding to the prompt. As for my words , I got rampant and solace. The word rampant is an adjective which means to grow uncontrollably or flourish unchecked. The word solace on the other hand is a noun which means comfort or consultation . After memorizing , we proceed to practice the words by filling the sentence with ...

Lexicon's Melody- Meral- AEP 10- Blog 2

Does time feel like it's on fast forward to anyone else? With midterms creeping closer, I'm floored by how rapid this term's flying by. Despite all that, this AEP week has been a whirlwind of wordplay, discovering new vocab, and tackling essays—talk about progress!  In the midst of this hurry, the productivity achieved this AEP week has been quite noteworthy. Hence, here I am, sharing it in writing for you to explore further. Keep reading on! :> On Tuesday's class, we kicked off with our usual Squardle, uncovering around 20 out of the 25 words in several minutes. I particularly prefer having a range of 20 to 30 words to search for, finding it more enjoyable than larger amounts, a routine typically reserved for Tuesdays.  Later on, we moved to define two or three words each, as assigned by Miss Disa. This preparation served as an overview for the list of twenty vocabulary words for Unit 6, in which we had a quiz on in the upcoming week.  I received the word "comp...

Anis' AEP Diaries 2.2 - Slowly Warming Up

🎀 Season 2: Episode 1 🎀  Friday, 1st December 2023  “Avoiding Rudeness”.  Sometimes when we speak, we fail to recognize or acknowledge the words that come out of our mouth. If you think about it, we speak to communicate – we speak to express. However, there are myriads of aspects that we tend to overlook when doing so which includes our tone and use of language. Admittedly, speaking towards the people who we consider as family and friends my come off as easy, considering that it happens almost like it’s our second nature. Be that as it may, speaking formally towards the people outside of our intermediate circle could pose as a challenge.  Especially in this 21st century where our lives are pretty much dominated by technology, there is an increase use of electronic applications in where we communicate using a digital platform. Given a scenario that we aim to communicate our thoughts to people we do not know, our new lesson taught us how to properly structure our s...
