2nd Chance - Blog 2 - Haziq

The past few week flew by fast , just as fast as this introduction :)

First thing on Monday morning , we have to start off the class with one and only Sqaurdle.I guess luck wasn't on our side because it was one of the toughest squardle we ever did and with that being said , we weren't able to finish the game . On the next day we also started  with Squardle but this time it's the easy squardle .Tuesday is probably one the best days to play squardle because we usually get the easy one . Afterwards we were assigned by miss 2 words that we needed to find the definition . After getting and memorizing the definition , Miss will then ask who`s word is who`s corresponding to the prompt. As for my words , I got rampant and solace. The word rampant is an adjective which means to grow uncontrollably or flourish unchecked. The word solace on the other hand is a noun which means comfort or consultation . After memorizing , we proceed to practice the words by filling the sentence with the words that are correct for the sentence. The sentence provided was definitely questionable but nevertheless , it still helps us to practice using the word in a sentence rather than just memorizing the definition.

Afterwards , we head one with not essay writing but instead drawing the essay.Although it sounded simple , we weren't given the essay but instead , Miss read it out loud . This really tested our listening skills and note taking skills. Both boys and girls was separated into each group and for the boys , we had a slight disadvantage because Sayum was absent and we had Janek in our team.Overall , I can definitely say the the boys did a much better job in getting the process drawn right but the girls`s drawing was undeniably better.

In the following week , fortunately for us , Monday was a holiday which means that the vocabulary quiz was moved to the next day . I was in joy when the news got to me because I was not able to study the words.Even though I had the whole day to study , I somehow still managed to procrastinate and in the end , I was not able to memorize the last 5 words. When my turn finally came ,with all the prayers , “I said spin the wheel … please “. The wheel landed on the word suppress and I knew I was in trouble. I was trying to make up definitions just by the word press but I couldn't. The definition of the word suppress in to forcibly put an end to.On my second try , the wheel landed on the word inopportune is an adjective which means occurring at an inconvenient time. After that , Miss told me that i got 9 out of 10 because was not able to get the first word correctly. After some negotiation ,  I was given a chance to get 10 out of 10 but first , i have to get 3 words correctly from the wheel. The wheel kept spinning on the words that has been done and finally , for my first word , I got the word premeditated which means planned beforehand.I was feeling confident after i got the first word right and as for my second word , the wheel landed on the word rampant which means something  growing without restrain. The pressure build up as the wheel spin for my last word and finally , the wheel landed on the word venal which means capable of being bribed.

Later one we go back to writing. We had to write about the process of milk production and other dairy products. While writing , I found it manageable for me to write it until the end where I realized that my essay was a little bit short.I tried to add some words but at the end , i managed to get about 140 words which is 10 word less for the required amount.Afterwards Miss discuss on how to write it and I learn a lot from it. Instead of just writing what is happening in a specific stage , you can write about the equipment , the place and all sorts of stuff.

overall it was a fantastic week and i'm excited to see what's to come for the upcoming classes

yet another blog for this week

yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

Short. Sweet. Simple! - Chloe Lloveras- Blog 1 T1- AEP10

Back at it again! The new school year has begun and AEP along with it. But this year, it comes with a twist: a much more jam-packed schedule and more essay-writing. Did I mention that the vocabulary quizzes are back and that blogs will be more frequent now? No? Well, you're in for a treat!      We hadn't even met for the first session yet, but we were already juggling assessments like a syllabus quizlet, a "what's your English level?" test, and even a knowledge quiz about IELTS writing task one, something I haven't encountered before. When our first meeting did commence, it wasn't until a week later due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds so classes were canceled. As you might've guess, we were already behind and AEP hadn't even begun yet!  Before starting, Miss Disa established the basics for the new school year: 1. Every meeting will begin with a word game with a five-minute time limit. If we don't finish in time, we'll still mov...

AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...
