AEP Blog #2.2 “Pen and paper”

(Before I start, I would just like to add how long it has been since I last put a generic title. Oddly enough I really could not think of a good one. I love titles… this is something I won’t forget.)

A pleasant good day to you dear reader~ Welcome back to another special blog made by yours truly. [Just imagine I am throwing heart emojis over here.. PEW PEW!]

As I sit down to write another blog, it's hard to think that December is just around the corner. Honestly you can hear all the christmas music(eveb 2x louder than before.. not saying it didn’t start in september!!!).Its crazy to me that in just two days, we’ll reach the final month of 2023. Time was such (and is still) an ungraspable concept to me. And to go more into this situation — the Student Parliament has been more stressed than ever. I really wanted us to start prepping for the year end party much earlier but It wasn’t possible because everyone is so busy. To note that this program is one of the biggest programs we’ll be working on.

Well, thats the life of a student right?

About AEP though, Ms. Disa has been steering our class towards a more traditional teaching approach, a short rewind of the times before the digital phase came (And before COVID-19 hit). The return to traditional has not only improved my connection with the content but has also reinforced the significance of each word.

Although the practice lacks on my side, especially since you’ll have to use the words or else you’ll forget them!:((

Its really surreal to me nowadays that how much I missed having normal seatwork on paper. Especially in AEP. Since most of the subjects already do have seatwork on paper, AEP was just one of the last subjects to implement and I didn’t realise just how much of a difference it made to me.

The school holidays are coming up so I hope everyone gets a good rest!! Good luck with your exams!

See you in the next one!

yet another blog for this week

yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...

Aleena Imran - Blog #4 - Grade 8 :)

This week was quite enlightening. Our first lesson was very interesting. We got to learn about different school uniforms and what people wear to school. We started learning by listing as much clothing people wear to school as possible as a group work. My team was Dharanika and Summer who listed loads of words, sadly some of them didn’t count.  Following that, we discussed the parts of a uniform. I found this class super engaging as I got to expand my vocabulary in terms of clothing.  To pass a few more minutes, we wrote down what we were wearing. This session was a bit tiring and fun at the same time. The second day was more relaxing and refreshing. As we basically were assigned 1-2 words from Unit 4 and searched in the dictionary for their meanings. Which was pretty amusing and calm. After that, we did a crossword. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get my words in time as someone else had found it first. From there on, we all were tested about the definitions of our words. I enj...
