The "Queen of Vocab" - Blog 1.5 - Aire M.

Hello... to pretty much no one. Probably no one except Miss Disa reads these blogs, no matter how much effort I put into them. I really like writing these blogs, as they are my way of venting all my feelings and thoughts out into the void. With that being said, here's the blog :)

Yeah, sorry for the short intro today. I'm feeling sleepy 😪

Today in AEP, we used the whole 5th period trying to complete Squaredle, and in the last 10 minutes, Miss told us we'd get 7 merits each if we finished. It didn't seem like a long way off, as we just had 14 words left. We didn't get the 7 merits, but we only had... 7 words left? Still pretty good.

In the second period, Miss Disa explained how exams can trick you. Well, to be more specific, questions that, if you didn't read the instructions, you could get wrong. And those questions were very easy. All you had to do was read the instructions. But somehow, even the smartest people can get tricked. (Honestly, Summer, even you were fooled during the English midterms because you didn't read the last part's instructions.)

We answered some of the questions with our group, then did Padlet.

Today in AEP, we started with Squaredle, then did our AEP midterms. I would've been dreading it the whole week, but I forgot about it and crammed. Oh well. Today, actually, instead of doing it 1 by 1 while the class is staring at you, telling you it's easy, and waiting in anticipation, we did it like a "Last Man Standing." We had the same groups as yesterday, and one member from each group faced another member from another group and said the definitions until one of them got it wrong (and the other got it right). It's a bit hard to explain it in words, but if you're doing it, it makes much more sense.

Anyway, Miss realised there were a lot of loopholes in her new game, allowing Adelia and Mysha to go on until they finished all the words on the wheel. A lot of people tried to take down Aleena, including myself, but all failed. Miss told us to "Stop this girl!" In the end, Miss declared her the "Queen of Vocab." I got so close to beating Aleena, even with barely 15 minutes of studying. Can I still brag about that, please? (jkjk)

We finished the 5th period with a game of Contexto (supposedly doing Padlet, but I was done so I asked Miss to do Contexto) . For those wondering, the word for today was "fabric," if I'm not mistaken.

And that concludes the end of my blog! I made it a bit short and didn't go into the details because I thought of trying to fit my day into this bite-sized blog people could actually read without having to sit down and read it for like 30 minutes.

Anyways, here's your reward: a picture of Bokuto.

AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...
