Haziq`s first ever Blog :>

Yay! The new school year finally started after two months of break and it felt great being back at school. A new challenge arrived, which was transferring to AEP because there is no teacher for ESP anymore. As much as I was excited, I was also scared during the time because this is a completely new experience and for me; Ms. Disa was a bit intimidating. 🙂

Our first meeting was canceled due to the typhoon but Ms. Disa had already assigned us quizzes. The next meeting, we did a little activity such as “Diffle” which was another version of wordle but instead, we did not know the length of the word. We just have to keep guessing. I think this is a good warm up game to break the ice in the morning. After that, we had to draw ourselves and I forgot to mention that I am really bad at drawing so I couldn't even draw a stickman. The purpose of the drawing was to track the homework that we did and, if we failed to submit 1 homework, our drawing will be left behind. On the second meeting, to start our AEP class, we did fun game where Ms. Disa had given us a sentence and then a person will finish the sentence. Then, the second player will repeat the sentence with the first player’s answer, and then said their answer. The sentence was “My grandmother went to a market and bought a …”.The answer given by each player was hilarious, for example, a car, Nutella, mayonnaise and even animals.

On the third meeting, this is where we started to get serious and started to do the essays. Of course we can't forget the warm up game Diffle 🎉. Then, Ms. Disa assigned us a task from the IELTS exam. My first impression was “A bar graph! How does this relate to aep?” Just by the looks of it, I knew I would be struggling, just from the introduction. Well, I was correct, but my excuse was I hadn’t been writing for two months straight so it was a little challenging on my end. Later on, Ms. Disa explained step by step on how to begin an essay and, from what I remembered, the first step is to paraphrase the question and give a summary or rather an overview in 2 or 3 sentences.

My expectation for AEP is to improve on my writing skills and my English skills. I hope to learn more on how to write a good essay and how to paraphrase quickly. Overall, this AEP class is a whole new experience for me because last year, I took ESL classes and I can definitely say that the new environment will be very difficult. I hope that i'm able to survive this year. :(

yet another blog for this week

yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...

Aleena Imran - Blog #4 - Grade 8 :)

This week was quite enlightening. Our first lesson was very interesting. We got to learn about different school uniforms and what people wear to school. We started learning by listing as much clothing people wear to school as possible as a group work. My team was Dharanika and Summer who listed loads of words, sadly some of them didn’t count.  Following that, we discussed the parts of a uniform. I found this class super engaging as I got to expand my vocabulary in terms of clothing.  To pass a few more minutes, we wrote down what we were wearing. This session was a bit tiring and fun at the same time. The second day was more relaxing and refreshing. As we basically were assigned 1-2 words from Unit 4 and searched in the dictionary for their meanings. Which was pretty amusing and calm. After that, we did a crossword. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get my words in time as someone else had found it first. From there on, we all were tested about the definitions of our words. I enj...
