Peanuts!! - Blog 2.1 - Aire M.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the world of Blogger! I am your writer, Aire Marcellana, presenting to you a blog of quality writing, containing a girl's simple hopes and dreams. Hopes and dreams crushed knowing like 5 people reads these. I do still find fun in writing these, however, especially since I love to write.

Our first few lessons in the 2nd term proved to be quite fun and entertaining to write about. I got a bit stressed on our first lesson, but all in all, a fantastic start to the new term. Reflecting on last term, although I did put effort into AEP, I didn't prioritize it as much as I should've, even if it is a minor subject. I am grateful I got a good grade, yet I have high hopes for the terms to come.

We started off our term 2 with some good old Squaredle. Grades 7, 9, and 10 have already paved the way to finishing the Squaredle by having already completed the easy words. With 63 out of 79 words settled, our class went on a journey to get all of the words. We didn't quite make it, but we were close. We didn't even get 10 words, which was surprising, to say the least, considering that we are quite good at word games.

After a 5 minute-break, we studied vocab #6. There were 2 words assigned to each person to learn. After about 10 minutes, we opened vocabtest.com and started announcing our words and their meaning once it showed up on the board. Another 5-minute break followed, bringing with it our vocab quiz. More like vocab pop quiz. On any normal day, we would be given a week to learn the words, yet today was no normal day. Miss woke up and decided to bully some grade 8 students. I did my best to absorb the information as quickly as possible, yet I wasn't able to get 1 word, which was a first.

In the end, we were given the responsibility to chose our own grades for our performance in the vocab quiz. Despite my best efforts, I felt like I could still do much better, so I gave myself a 7/10. Summer disagreed, and Miss Disa ended up giving me an 8/10.

All in all, a good day.

We kicked our 5th period off with a great start, completing Quordle in 6 minutes without much difficulty. After warming up, we read two articles on DOGOnews.

The first article we read was about a deep space telescope, Euclid, that has captured full-color photos of different clusters, galaxies, and nebulas that can be found in the vast Universe. The second article was on the world's oldest living chicken, a 21-year-old named Peanut. We had especially fun with this topic. For these articles, we each took a turn to read 2 sentences, a few struggling on some of the more complex words, yet we all prevailed in the end.

After reading each article, Miss Disa asked us one by one for a fact we learned from the write-up. Aleena and I wrote notes while reading the study, so we were ready.

We did Padlet later on.

And that concludes my blog! Thanks for reading. Originally, we were supposed to write about November 6, 7, 13 and 14, yet I was absent on the 7th and 13th, meaning I couldn't write about it. Now, as your gift, a photo of Tooru "Pretty Boy" Oikawa.

Short. Sweet. Simple! - Chloe Lloveras- Blog 1 T1- AEP10

Back at it again! The new school year has begun and AEP along with it. But this year, it comes with a twist: a much more jam-packed schedule and more essay-writing. Did I mention that the vocabulary quizzes are back and that blogs will be more frequent now? No? Well, you're in for a treat!      We hadn't even met for the first session yet, but we were already juggling assessments like a syllabus quizlet, a "what's your English level?" test, and even a knowledge quiz about IELTS writing task one, something I haven't encountered before. When our first meeting did commence, it wasn't until a week later due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds so classes were canceled. As you might've guess, we were already behind and AEP hadn't even begun yet!  Before starting, Miss Disa established the basics for the new school year: 1. Every meeting will begin with a word game with a five-minute time limit. If we don't finish in time, we'll still mov...

yet another blog for this week

yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

Nurin’s AEP Adventure #1

⋆·˚ ༘ * Time is passing like a speed jet. I’m a senior now and that is incredibly hard to get over in my head. There’s something undeniably strange about growing up, and I’m going through every minute of it. AEP is the same, classes are comforting and chill. I’m soaking all the general knowledge I can get in AEP class and I’m going to put in extra efforts this year as it’s my last. Expectations this year will not be up the roof but at least to the point where I can reach. I hope AEP will continue to flourish my skills in multiple things and I sure will put those to use in college!!  ⋆·˚ ༘ *
