AEP-Blog #7

 Welcome back to my blogg!!! Wow we are already on blog 7!!! That felt quite fast if you ask. Let's cut straight to it and see what Grade 8 has done this week:

On the first day of the week, we started with Squaredle. But there were only a few words left for us to guess, and lucky for us, the words were quite simple. So we managed to guess all the words in about 5 minutes or so. After that, we did Quordle, and we may or may not have cheated just a little bit. Since we refused to lose by not guessing all the 4 words, we refreshed the page to start a new game. We managed to guess all the 4 words with the refreshed game, and Ms made us play a couple more times. 

After that, we did a review for Vocab quiz 7. Like the usual, we were assigned 1 or 2 words (all of us got 2 this time because we were an even number that day) and mine were jaunty and juncture. Then we searched their definitions online. When we all finished doing that, Ms presented the quiz on the board and we all answered our assigned words. We had also done a practice quiz, wherein there will be a sentence on the board and we will have to fill in the word that fits best. When it was my turn, I did struggle just a bit, I was confused since I felt there was another word that could've fit the sentence. But in the end, I picked the correct answer.

For the next day, we did quordle as a starter. Again! But this time, we succesfully did it in a bit over 4 minute without any do-overs!!! After that, we did the vocab quiz that we had reviewed for the day before. I admit, I was quite nervous to do it since I did not study at all the night before. Thankfully, I managed to answer the words that the wheel had picked for me correctly! Phew!!! 

After we had finished the quiz, we had several minutes to spare, so Ms made us do a quick assignment. She thought it wouldn't require that much brainwork so it would be perfect for our worn out brains after the quiz.  Alas, the work turned out making us use our brains quite a lot, at least for me. We had to rearrange how the questions should be ordered according to the paragraph. The first 3 questions were quite easy for me, but when I read the 4th question I wasn't sure where the answer to that question was written. So I simply used my deducting skills and figured since I already knew the order number of the first 3 questions, then the 4th one would be the number that is missing. Once Ms Disa also finished her paper, she explained to us how question 4 is in that order, and I was glad since it made me understand the paragraph and the answer more.

Short. Sweet. Simple! - Chloe Lloveras- Blog 1 T1- AEP10

      Back at it again! The new school year has begun and AEP along with it. But this year, it comes with a twist: a much more jam-packed schedule and more essay-writing. Did I mention that the vocabulary quizzes are back and that blogs will be more frequent now? No? Well, you're in for a treat!      We hadn't even met for the first session yet, but we were already juggling assessments like a syllabus quizlet, a "what's your English level?" test, and even a knowledge quiz about IELTS writing task one, something I haven't encountered before. When our first meeting did commence, it wasn't until a week later due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds so classes were canceled. AEP BLOG 3.1 - Summer Rose S. Valdez

           The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...
