Hello dear reader, I am back to update you on what has happened in the past 2 weeks:
We started the first lesson of AEP for week one by doing Squaredle, that was already played by three other grades before us. Meaning we were left with the super hard words to answer. It really was a challenge to guess what the missing words were, to the point wherein Ms would give us 3 merits to the person who guessed a word. Eventually, we only managed to guess 5 words by the end of the period, and sadly I didn't got a word, so no merits for me:((
Next we did vocab quiz 6, Ms gave us all 1 or 2 words to define, mine were anguish and articulate, then she would put the quiz up on the board and we would define our assigned words. It was easy at first, but then Ms pulled out the wheel and that's when I got nervous. Since we barely got to study the other words I wasn't sure I would be able to define them. But I was wrong and it went quite alright, or not as bad as I expected it to have gone.
The next day, we started off with contexto. We were so close yet so far to the answer. We knew it was an animal, but not sure what animal specifically. Mysha ended up finding the answer out in her phone, and gave us a clue on what the animal was. Turns out the animal was a kangaroo! After that, we checked our exam scores, and I was quite content with mine, so there was no issue for me.
The week later we also started with contexto. The word was 'mind'. After that, we did a seatwork and our topic was about water. We did questions 2-5 and they were quite easy and simple. Well, question 2 for me was just a bit harder than the rest. It kind of became a competition for merits on who would be the fastest to finish, and if all our answers were correct. By the end I'm pretty sure most of us got merits for our work. Then, we did exam practice. The task was to finish sentence endings. It was harder than the previous task we did, but I managed to match all the sentence and endings correctly, so all was well.
The day after that, we switched things up a bit and did quordle!!! We succesfully guessed all the words in a little over 6 minutes. Yay us!!! Then, we did reading on Dogonews. The first article we read was something about space and cosmos and stars. Most of the information went right over my head, so I was quite nervous when Ms started asking about a fact from the article. The second article was more fun and a less heavy topic to read. It was about the oldest living chicken! The chicken is now 21 years old! Which is very old since the life expectancy of a chicken is only 3-7 years, according to the article. The information of this article was more easier to consume so I prefer the second article over the first.
Well that's it for this blog! Bye!!!
Great blog thanks!
