AEP Blog 1.5 yay

 Back with another short blog this time. Not much to talk about, it's only been a week since the last blog. But I do prefer these short blogs they're easier and more fun to write. 

On Monday we did some vocabulary work. Not a quiz. That was for Tuesday. We studied the words and defenitions in unit 4 during class instead of studying them at home like usual. Miss didn't want us to have more work since we already had to do our blog. And she also mentioned it seemed to work better and allow students to memorize the defenitions easier. I enjoy this way of doing this though. Everyone was assigned 2 to 3 words and given about 5 minutes to find the defenitions. Then we'd go one by one matching words to their defenitions in the test accesible through the same website we use for our vocabulary quizzes. Excited to do this again tommorrow!  

On tuesday we started off with our vocabulary quiz about the words we learnt on monday. I got all my words correct so hooray! Afterwards i assumed another essay was coming. But we actually decided to do something different. We were split into two groups. Girls versus boys. And we were to try and draw a graph based of an essay written by none other than the infamous IELTS Liz. I didn't think we'd get very close at first but both groups had a pretty acurrate graph. The boys got the win though because our chart was bigger and the trends were easier to see becuase of it. By now i thought surely it would be essay writing time but nope! Miss had another activity prepared for us. A rather fun one actually. I do hope we get to do it again sometime. Again we split into two groups. Girls versus boys yet again. And this time we played what i suppose could be described as "reverse pictionary"? Basically miss would give one group an abstract painting and that group would have to explain and describe the painting to the other group. And they would have to attempt to draw it on the smart board. We had around 15 minutes each. It was quite fun and suprisingly our paintings weren't that far off from the original. Woohoo!

           The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...

yet another blog for this week

 yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

Blog 3.1 - moving too fast? - huda g11

  From juggling multiple homework and exams to participating in the musical, parliament, varsity and maintaining a social life, the days seem to blur together in a relentless stream of busyness. It's easy to get caught up in the chaos and lose track of time, which left me constantly feeling like having to keep on picking myself up again to start the next new thing. Despite the chaotic nature of this school year, it's important to take a moment to pause and give ourselves a small break. I think that is where AEP comes in line. With the moderate pace of learning new vocabulary, which I have found to be very useful considering I've passed by many familiar vocabs as I go on with my studies ehehehe, AEP gives me a sense of pause to my hustling life with its conversation-filled lessons incorporated with productive discussions on the words as well as the inclusion of what I would see it as “old-style” learning.
