Shirt, Shoes, and Underwear? - Blog 1.4 - Aire M.

Hello everyone! Welcome to another blog by none other than me. I feel like no one reads these blogs other than Miss Disa, but I like writing and explaining every detail anyway (hehe). So that's pretty much all for the intro, so let's go to the actual blog!   (I actually wrote a whole thingy to use for the intro, and it was like 7 paragraphs long, but I thought it was bad and scrapped it.)       09/25/23 Today we started with our new warm-up,  Squaredle . Miss told us she stumbled upon it while playing Wordle, and I saw that the other grades are doing it too. I personally think Miss used it as an excuse to stray away from  Diffle  after we cheated one day (we did it prior to AEP). That was fun, seeing Miss getting bamboozled (sorry, Miss).   Anyway, the Squaredle was already half done since Miss did it before us. We continued, but unfortunately a glitch happened and reset the tab (we all know what Miss's board is like). To kill time while ...

Sid aep 8: bloog uhhhhhhhhhhhh i forgor

It's been a long while since I had to write one of these again, but AEP is a reasonably laid-back subject compared to most others. We usually do a ton of games at the start to get us in the mindset of AEP. Most of the time what we have to do is usually short. Oh, and the vocab tests every once in a while aren't so bad. Seat works are usually okay too, well it's better than math at the least. Uhh... don't know what to say now... I'm terrible at closers.

Today I came to class as usual, all tired and dead because of course it was 8 in the morning. I don't know how other people are so energetic and all happy.I was more tired than usual because i slept way later than usual.Anyways, we did the usual stuff in class, warm up game, seatwork and stuff. We started a new theme today, employment. It was quite challenging because most of the words are words that I know but they are of a different meaning.im so glad the classes in grade 11 weren't like in grade 10 where we had to write essays most of the time. It was a pretty good and chill day.

Aleena Imran - Blog #4 - Grade 8 :)

This week was quite enlightening. Our first lesson was very interesting. We got to learn about different school uniforms and what people wear to school. We started learning by listing as much clothing people wear to school as possible as a group work. My team was Dharanika and Summer who listed loads of words, sadly some of them didn’t count.  Following that, we discussed the parts of a uniform. I found this class super engaging as I got to expand my vocabulary in terms of clothing.  To pass a few more minutes, we wrote down what we were wearing. This session was a bit tiring and fun at the same time. The second day was more relaxing and refreshing. As we basically were assigned 1-2 words from Unit 4 and searched in the dictionary for their meanings. Which was pretty amusing and calm. After that, we did a crossword. Sadly, I wasn’t able to get my words in time as someone else had found it first. From there on, we all were tested about the definitions of our words. I enj...

Blog 1.1 - “New chapter?” - Huda G11

Back in AEP   We’re back! After a few months of our summer holiday, we’re finally back in school. We faced a few days off due to the typhoon but nonetheless, managed to have our first day of AEP last Wednesday. I must say, this is the first time we’ve had most of the chairs in the class occupied haha! It really was something to get used to but I guess this means our classes may or may not become more and more livelier hehehe…We started off with,  as usual, a starter game. Although I was expecting to play one of the games we played last year, Miss Disa had surprised us with the fact that she has discovered more “-dle” game. It was exciting to introduce to our new joiners of AEP our on-going tradition/routine for each lesson and I hope they get to see the fun of this class. After that, we were introduced to a new system where we had to draw “Mini-me’s” to stick on the bulletin board outside the class. This would help us keep track of our assignment and maybe any projects....

Blog 1.2 - "Vocabulary is not my forte T-T" - Huda G11

2nd blog of the year!   The days feel so much longer now that I'm in senior high. Everything feels so rushed for me and though I am able to keep up with my assignments, it just never felt that same as how it did last year. To make things simple...i'm just tired. T-T In our last AEP class we started off with a familiar game called 'diffle' but this was only for warm up. We actually did it quite fast ahahah! We then moved on to organising and finishing off our miro boards filled with new words, well, new as in the word in a different context, that we had to find the meanings of and it in a 'sentence sandwich' to demonstrate how it's commonly used. Most of our words were related to the business lexical field.  To test ourselves, Ms Disa gave us a few minutes to look back on our words and try our best to memorise them and be able to explain its meaning and how it's used in sentences. To be truly honest,    I was panicking so much as memorising stuff is not...

blog 3

Hey there, it's me Fahad again! So, for the 3rd blog of the month, things are moving pretty quickly compared to last year, because the time if flying rather faster then it was last year. In the latest lesson of AEP, we stuck to our game of Diffle, and even though we usually change games every lesson, I'm totally fine with it. Diffle is a really fun game which challenges my own existence, and we managed to guess the answers pretty quickly, which is surprising since it takes at least 10-25 guesses to do it, sometimes even more. After that, we reviewed some words from the previous lesson that we had defined before going into our first quiz of the year. I thought I'd do fine and was a bit confident, but, I had no idea what was waiting ahead of me. I'm crossing my fingers that I might earn at least one point with the word I provided. But,Im not going to lie, the moment I said the word, I somehow forgot its definition myself. Today, we got our books back, so hopefully, I...

Blog 3 Irfan

And again, AEP blog 3, this time it was a bit tiring for me. I slept late the night before school and I was really trying to act like I'm not sleepy at all in Ms. Disa's.....I don't want to get scolded again. This time, we started the morning with a different activity, maybe it's unfamiliar for me but for those who were here since last year AEP, they probably did this already. I forgot the name of the game but it's way more better than the fiddle game. It was a pretty interesting one because it doesn't require that much of thinking unlike fiddle. The classes went on and we discussed our quiz answers with everyone. My score was pretty okay for someone like me since I'm not good with vocabulary. Actually, I actually kind of like the way Ms. Disa is teaching us right now, although there's more work this year, but she's actually so considerate about us. I think that's all for this blog. Hoping for more fun in AEP and less work
