I don't need the MAP - Haziq- Blog 2

Well midterm has long past and I am just know writing this blog but thats okay because I will recap everything that has happened before and after the midterm.I wouldnt want to make you wait anymore so lets dive in back in Tuesday , March 12th.

In the tuesday morning , we were welcome with a new twist in which regularly , we play squardle but to keep the warm-up game nice and quick, Miss decide to let us play the classic wordle. After number of guesses , we managed to get the word which was "heave". Afterwards , we play another interesting game "connections". This game usually quite tricky but somehow , we managed to finish the game within less than 2 errors. Moving on to the real deal , we had to wrote and essay about Farmshire village and the changes to be made by 2024. Personally , I find writing essay about maps is really difficult because I never really wrote about them before. There is a lot of challenges such as the tenses that I need to focus on. Since this essay is focusing on the plans , I have to use future sense but halfway writing through it , I stop using the future tense. Another challenge is using the the appropiate and specific vocabulary. Apart from that , I have to use all the informations provided in the diagram and that includes using the compass. Last thing , my essay was too short and it was a little difficult trying to expand the essay because I already used all the informations.

On the following week , Monday , we had an awarding ceremony in the first period but it continue to consume a little bit of the aep time . Afterwards , I received back my essay i wrote about the Farmshire village and there is definetly a lot to improve on. This includes using a whole wide range of vocabularies , focusing on my tenses and generally making my essay longer.Though I would be lying if  I said I wasn't dissapointed but I hope to improve more next time. To kill the time , Miss let us play Squardle but luck wasnt on our side because we have 65 words to accomplish with only little time. Suprisingly , due to Janek's determination on accomplishing it , we succesfully finished the wordle with only couple of minutes to spare.

On the following day , we played "hello wordle " for our warmup game . This game require us to guess a 7 letter words . It was however quite tricky because we are not used to this type of wordle but in the end , we managed to secure the victory by guessing the word which was "assault". After that , we move on to going over some essay samples about the Farmshire Village essay. Looking through essay , I was able to learn a little bit on how to arrange the informations throughout the essay.

After a week of resting (which i still feel it wasnt enough), we finally met back in the first day of April. To start off , we were asked what activities we were doing during the holy week. For me , nothing interesting , I just spent time with my family which also means I stayed at home. After that , since Miss Disa is a really nice teacher , she let us play squardle but unfortunately , we werent able to finish the game which is unlikely for us. On the following day , we played "hurdle" as our warm-up game . We were also introduced to about fish doorbell. Essentially , every time a fish is spotted , we ring the doorbell. After some further research , this actually help the fish survive and prevent them from being eaten by other animals because everytime the doorbell is rang , it signals the people lift up the gate . After that , we went straight to the essay writing. This time , we were given a much simpler topic which was about transforming an island into a tourist destination.

For me , I find writing this essay is much more simpler because nothing was removed or demolish which would be a little complicated to write.

Overall , the past few weeks have been really packed and I can say that I am struggling to write essay about maps. Hopefully , I'm able to improve more on writing it but for now I just have to try my best on writing more essay about maps.

IM THE MAP! - Janek - Blog 2 - T3 - AEP 10

Although maps have always held a peculiar charm for me, a fascination sparked during childhood by watching episodes of Dora the Explorer and her indispensable map, my relationship with them has evolved. Previously, a map was a guide to travelling to places, a tool for discovering new café locations on trips, or simply a way to marvel at rather weird corners of the globe. However, my recent academic assignments have altered my perception of maps, making them less of an object of intrigue and more a source of stress. Essays have made maps worse! Before, engaging with a map never entailed writing an essay. If my father discussed a historical map, I’d happily delve into a verbal explanation rather than penning an analysis. But now, as a student in an Advanced English Program, essays have become a standard expectation. Tackling these assignments has been a significant challenge, turning my once enjoyable encounters with maps into a draining task. It’s clear now that the essays, not my exhau...

Miss Disa is back! - AEP 10- BLOG#4- JANEK

Now that the exams have finally concluded and the stress has lifted, thanks to the break and the high AEP spirit, it seems inevitable that a blog post is in order! The past weeks have been some of the most unusual and unpredictable I've ever experienced in AEP. With a few new faces, Miss Disa's absence, and sudden activities, let's delve into the latest updates on AEP. A Sudden Disappearance? On January 7, just a day before AEP's classes resumed, I felt a sense of fear. Fear that I might have forgotten something, a feeling I often experience. Despite this, I had to enter the class with confidence. However, my expectations took an unexpected turn. Miss Disa was nowhere to be seen. She had apparently left for the UK, and has not yet arrived in the Philippines. This had left many of us  confused, yet simultaneously relieved. No work, no stress! All we had to do was sit in the Filipino class doing nothing. Initially, that's what we thought, until a notification popped u...

Nurin’s AEP Adventure (Term 3 #1)

Hey blog!!! Under some ciscumstances, I have relapsed into my old habits of procrascination and I’m really not proud of that :,) But that’s okay, I’m still in progress and of course I’m gonna have ups and downs. Embracing any chance to change myself for the better, always. Anyways, IT’S TERM 3 ALREADY?!?!? My my, time flies like a speed jet to space. I’m like a leap away from graduating and that thought scares me, in an exciting way. I cannot even imagine yet what the future holds for me and I’m eager to find out. For now, nothing much is going on except for preparations of the musical production on March 9th. So I’ve just been really busy with dance trainings and rehearsals here and there. Expectations are really high for the Grade 12 so we have to give it our best and perform to our fullest potential.  I have been putting off works in the last moments of previous term. I got my Cambridge exam result and it brought me back down to my dark pit, I never want to get out of there like...
