Tick, tock, tick, tock...
At this time around, we have reached the last and final season of Anis' AEP Diaries as she makes her way to *drumrolls* graduation! What a long, long way it has been. I would like to give a pat on the back to all students who have made it through the last term because it goes without saying we were all in a pit! On our plates, we had stem congress, musical (the president of making everyone's schedule busy), exams, volleyball games and so much more in between.
In our last classes, AEP acted as a "brake" for us lot who is full speeding all term long. As a result of that, classes have been more lenient as we step away from the academic syllabus and engulfed ourselves in the world of origami and speeches! It was filled with laughters, and officially became super memorable to see everyone loosen up once in a while.
Who would've thought that I would be re-enacting Susan B. Anthony's speech on women's right to vote on a regular Wednesday? I fully understand now how reading a speech and delivering a speech can be two different things. Hats off to all of the impersonators because Ayse and I genuinely had to cover our faces with paper so we could make it through the class (I never saw such passion).
A little fun fact: Haron, one of our classmates, peeked through a small gap of the door in the empty room I used to rehearse and practice my speech. Well, see. First of all, my back was turned against the door. Second of all, I had my headphones on maximum volume. So, tell me how I had to explain myself. Until this day, I had yet to wonder if he still looks at me the same or I am a complete madwoman.
Y'all never know what fun is like until you're having a frog race competition with Tokyo Drift song in the background.
We also did some hands-on activity on making origami which was FROGS!!!! I usually give up after the first two folds, so this was kind of a big thing for me ok. I made two frogs in which one was pretty disabled by the looks of its feet. I never knew where I went wrong. However, the smaller one did make such effort to help me win the race round. We used our marked exam papers as the origami paper...with Ms. Disa's approval.
Not to forget, the lesson that made me had my butt on the edge of my seat was the making of these knots. Apparently it could be made as a weapon. Not that it will happen, but good to know we're prepped for whatever is coming next. Should've had this knot even earlier during the highs of the musical so I can smack the table, or my head, in times of stress. Joke.
Anyway, I am done yapping. Thank you.
