AEP-Blog #8

 NEW YEAR, NEW BLOG!!!

Starting of the year, for the first week we didn't have an official AEP lesson since Ms Disa was out of the country. So, we were given 2 assignments. One was a word puzzle containing the words for vocab quiz unit 9, and the other one were worksheets that were  about the topic of communication. For the word puzzle we had to find the words and also define them. I was only able to finish that one since the other one was quite challenging, especially to finish it in one sitting.

I continued the other one the next day and unfortunately was also unable to finish it because I wasn't quite sure how to answer some of the last questions.

Ms Disa came back to school the next week, and she said she couldn't take it easy on us since we missed 2 weeks worth of class. Therefore starting our lesson by reviewing for vocab quiz 9. I revised by rereading my word puzzle worksheet, since it contained the words that are in this topic that I then defined at the bottom of the paper. I admit, I was kind of panicking since we only had like 15 minutes to review, and I didn't even open the vocab website the night before. So 15 minutes to review 20 words, not that great honestly. But it is what it is. Ms Disa made us do the quiz on paper since the smartboard wasn't working hence us being unable to spin the wheel, which made me panic a little again. Thankfully, she said she will be defining the word and we will have to write which word it is. Phew! That is a bit easier to do than being given a word and defining it.

By the end, I only got 9/10. In my defense, I realised later on that the word puzzle only contained 19 out of the 20 words in the quiz. And that one word that wasn't in the word puzzle was one of the 10 words that Ms. defined. After this, we had checked some of the questions of the other worksheet Ms had given us. I told Ms I hadn't been able to answer some of the last questions since I didn't know how to answer it and she understood. Phew!

For the next day, we started of class by playing 'Contexto', unfortunately I accidently saw the answer, since it had been done and Ms simply refreshed it to do the game again, so it got cut short. We then played wordle which we did in a breeze. After that, we checked our exam practice that was in our worksheet, and unfortunately I only got 1/3 answers correct.

Welp, that's all for the first blog of the year! See you in the next one!!!

yet another blog for this week

yet again we do the thing where we type what we remember about the stuff that happened this week. So, there's not much tbh, there isn't much going on other than I picked up EP again since I think I'm suffering withdrawal with notoriety getting taken down and I'm cooking some video I made with someone showcasing some stupid shenanigans. So yeah is fine cruising so far (but so far)

Short. Sweet. Simple! - Chloe Lloveras- Blog 1 T1- AEP10

Back at it again! The new school year has begun and AEP along with it. But this year, it comes with a twist: a much more jam-packed schedule and more essay-writing. Did I mention that the vocabulary quizzes are back and that blogs will be more frequent now? No? Well, you're in for a treat!      We hadn't even met for the first session yet, but we were already juggling assessments like a syllabus quizlet, a "what's your English level?" test, and even a knowledge quiz about IELTS writing task one, something I haven't encountered before. When our first meeting did commence, it wasn't until a week later due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds so classes were canceled. As you might've guess, we were already behind and AEP hadn't even begun yet!  Before starting, Miss Disa established the basics for the new school year: 1. Every meeting will begin with a word game with a five-minute time limit. If we don't finish in time, we'll still mov...

The past couple weeks have been a whirlwind of maps and musicals, and it's quite fun.          March 5, 2025 - I Went on A Vacation...Somewhere      We began with a unique warmup this time.  By turns, we all had to say a new place on the map.  Each person has to retrace the steps of all the previous and so on.  I did not do well, but I didn't jot down notes of everyone's locations on my notebook anyway.  It was a memory game.  Afterwards, Miss taught us how one can remember things by remembering a place they visit often - by associating the different keywords with different objects or areas.     After that, we moved on to worksheets.  These worksheets involved maps and places and tenses.  For some reason, I forgot the difference between the past tenses.  Thankfully, though, I remembered what passive tense was.  Simple English fundamentals like types of...
