Mysha M - T2 BLOG 1

Here I am yet again, 3 am, on my half-working desktop, reminiscing about my recent AEP experiences. Welcome back, it's been a minute.

And just like that, we're already on the second term. I swear it was just yesterday when I was writing my first entry, hurriedly emailing it, as my blogger account had repeatedly failed to work. Crazy how time flies. But with all the mischief of term one, I'm grateful to see the refresh and new beginnings we'll have in this new term! Hopefully by now, I've properly adjusted.

Well, what's with all the slacking? Without further ado, let's keep a deep dive into my last two weeks in AEP!

On the very first day, Miss Disa decieded to graciously bless us with another vocabulary quiz! Quite surprising for the very begining of the term. After a lengthy squaredle session, we began revising. Miss granted us two words each, which we'd have to find the meaning of, and answer on the board when it came up. It's not that easy, unfortunately. That was just the review. After a short break, Miss span the wheel, and the quiz began. I managed to snag the ten points, which was nice :)

We kicked off the next tuesday with a nice game of contexto. I was much too fed up to wait around, so I cheated and checked the word on my phone. I didn't tell the rest of the class the word - only a few clues here and there, but eventually they found out the word was "kangaroo". We then reviewed the AEP final. which was frustrating.

Let's fast foreward to next week! We started the day with some more contexto, easily figuring out the word. Miss then set us up to do seatwork. I enjoyed the seatwork, because I got to be annoying and get merits. Miss Disa generously let the first people who finished particular questions get merits, which I snagged.

Whew, last meeting for this blog! On the following Tuesday, we opened up with quordle, a personal favorite of mine, easily grabbing the win. Afterwards, we did DOGOnews! This was really hype, as I barely recall doing it this year. The articles we read were about galaxies (boring) and the oldest living chickem (fun!). I managed to write down a fact about the galaxy one on my hand, because the name was too complex.

That's it from me folks! I'm so far appreciating the chaotic and meritful start to the term!

And So It Begins...- Chloe Lloveras- Blog 3 T3- AEP 10

Maps have become my new enemy. I know this may sound dramatic, but I really just can't seem to like them. As an artist who loves anything related to colors and drawings, you'd think a map of all things would be right up my alley, but you'd definitely be wrong. The feeling of facing your adversary is like no other- this desperate thirst to defeat them, dying to be quenched. And so it begins... The day before the exam, we played "Squardle," but the joy it gave us upon completion was short-lived as it was replaced by the impending atmosphere of doom looming above us. I felt a pit in my stomach when I walked into the classroom the next morning. But I was prepared...or so I had thought. I only managed to score 87%, which in reality was actually a 77% because Miss Disa added 10 points to help bump up our grades. I barely passed really, but that doesn't matter now. When I had finished taking the exam, all I could think of was that it was finally over. I could relax...

AEP- Blog 3.3

Hello hello hello there! We meet again, for one. last. blog.  Woah, it has been a ride hasn't it. A year sure does go by fast. It seriously felt not that long ago that I had written my first blog of the year. Definitely did not feel like 9 whole months. Reading said blog made realize now that I had nothing to worry about after all. That I have been proven wrong about not having fun in AEP. Sure, the work has gotten a lot tougher and was doubled to what we had last year. But hey, we're in G8 now and that's to be expected, AEP or not. And we still managed to play word games, some old, some new, and challenged ourselves in the best way possible. The seatworks we had DEFINITELY challenged me this year. But I wouldn't say all of them were so bad, only some. I really enjoyed the vocab quizzes. It really did help expand my vocabulary, and now whenever I read a book and encounter a word from one of the quizzes, I get all excited cause I know what it means now. I feel a bit sad...
