AEP Blog #1.5 " Adjacent scenarios"

Today, as I sit down to pen (well.. more like type) another chapter of my life in this cozy little corner of FIS wonders,,, I can already hear the sighs of students knowing the fact this week is the equivalent of stress week. All quizzes, added with how we have..

1st term FINAL EXAMS!

Its the big boss, the first among the three. 

Regardless, as I scratch my head, gazing out the window at the.. buildings (okay.. I really cannot sound poetic in Manila) , I find myself pulling my hair out because of exam week, which is just around the corner. 

But theres always our favorite English class, AEP.

Yes, you heard it right. Nowadays, AEP is not just another english subject; it's a motivating force to be honest, urging me to rise above the chaos of quizzes and assessments that threaten to whack my sanity. It's like a room where all the weight of the land of.. well.. schoolwork lifts off my shoulders as soon as I step into Ms. Disa's classroom.

Before I dive deeper into the week's adventures, I want to take a moment to wish Ms. Disa a very happy birthday! I still cant believe I had you as a teacher for pretty much my entire school life , from prep all the way to grade 11 and soon to be grade 12! I want you to know that I read all your comments on my blogs, even though I can't always find the time to reply – the login struggle is real, but I mentally reply to them and really appreciate everything I learnt from you all these years Ms T~T

AEP isn't just an English subject; it's a place where I can make mistakes and learn from them without fear. It's a place where the creative and the analytical stay in the same place without a fire starting and the whole campus burning (unless.?) , creating an atmosphere where growth feels not only possible but needed from each of us.

One of the things I truly appreciate about AEP is our regular word games during the first part of our class. Despite myself arriving late sometimes, I still appreciate how easy it is for me and my classmates to connect without immediately forcing ourselves to create conversations with each other at 8:30 in a Wednesday morning. Instead, we train our brains and laugh along the way while Ms Disa says a random word to solve our misery since we have been stuck in one missing word for so long. 

Trust me, I'd do that for hours. 

Well.. getting myself ready for all the adjacent scenarios (hehe) for these weeks, months and gosh the entire school year; I still remain constantly thankful for the way Ms structures our lessons especially with some days being JUST seatwork.
